Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for enhanced preparation and integration of data sets. In some implementations, data indicating user input that identifies a first data set that includes streaming data and a second data set that includes non-streaming data is received. The first data set and the second data set are integrated to generate a hybrid data set. The data processing system provides access to the hybrid data set through a (i) non-streaming access channel that provides a periodically-refreshed summary of both the streaming data and the non-streaming data and (ii) a streaming access channel that provides a data stream based on combined data of the first data set and the second data set. One or more application programing interfaces are provided. The one or more application programming interfaces allow at least one client device to access the non-streaming access channel and the streaming access channel.

Enhanced preparation and integration of data sets

A system extracts data from one or more sources of data and displays information regarding the data using interactive visualizations that allow a user to interact directly with the visualizations of the data, without necessarily requiring the user to utilize a menu-driven interface.

Mobile explorer

A recommendation engine may generate a recommendation in response to user interactions and executed operations in a system. The recommendation may be determined according to a number of factors including, but not limited to, an object affinity and a user affinity. The recommendation may include one or more of a recommendation to use an object and a recommendation for taking one or more actions. The recommendation may be provided to a user if the recommendation satisfies a confidence threshold. Recommendations provided by the recommendation engine are tracked to determine if the user accepted or rejected the recommendations. User history of accepting or rejecting recommendations may be utilized to train the recommendation engine for future recommendations and to build a user profile in a user database.

Intelligent recommendations

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for automatically defined groups for document distribution are disclosed. In one aspect, a method includes the actions of accessing document data for a document having content that is adjustable based on geographic locations of objects. The actions further include determining multiple object types specified by the document data, the multiple object types indicating types of objects that are discoverable using the document. The actions further include obtaining object location data indicating locations associated with objects. The actions further include identifying objects having the determined object types that are associated with locations in a particular geographical area. The actions further include obtaining attributes of the identified objects from one or more databases. The actions further include generating a view of the document based on the document data, the identified objects, and the obtained attributes.

Automatically defining groups in documents

Method, systems, and computer-readable media for receiving, from an application instance operating on a client device, information that indicates a client device identifier, a wireless proximity beacon identifier, and a proximity of the identified client device to the identified wireless proximity beacon. From the received information, a determination is made whether the proximity of the identified client device to the identified wireless proximity beacon satisfies a threshold proximity. Based at least on the determination, an action is determined that the application instance operating on the identified client device is permitted to perform while the proximity of the identified client device to the identified wireless proximity beacon satisfies the threshold proximity. Information is transmitted to the identified client device that enables the application instance operating on the identified client device to perform the action.

Proximity services

In some implementations, data specifying (i) identification information, (ii) a beacon identifier associated with a wireless proximity beacon, and (iii) a proximity of a client device to the wireless proximity beacon is received. A path of movement is determined based on the received data. Data specifying a pattern of movement that is associated with an action is accessed. The path of movement of the client device is determined to satisfy a particular pattern of movement associated with a particular action. An application instance operating on the client device is authorized to perform the particular action based at least on determining that the path of movement of the client device satisfies the particular pattern of movement associated with the particular action. Data enabling the application instance operating on the client device to perform the particular action is transmitted.

A credential management system is described. The credential management system allows a user to identify peers and obtain additional information regarding the peers through the credential management system. The credential management system may perform user analytics and provide the requested additional information to the user. The credential management system may associate the discovered peers with a group or credential, and share information and data with one or more of the discovered peers associated with a particular group or credential in a convenient manner. The credential management system may also implement a hierarchical menu and/or conditions to determine which users of the credential management system may be able to view other users' information and to determine a type of information or data that is transmitted between users.

A computer-implemented method, including detecting, by a first client device, a presence of a mobile customer in a particular geographic location, with detecting being through a direct device communication between the first client device and a second client device that is associated with the mobile customer; in response to the mobile customer presence detection, updating a local registry of the first client device with a customer identifier of the mobile customer; and retrieving, from a server device, customer information about the mobile customer; generating, based on contents of the local registry, a list of customers who are presently located in the particular geographic location; and rendering on a display device of the first client device at least one of the list of customers or the retrieved customer information.

Mobile customer presence detection

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for displaying a context-inclusive magnification area. In one aspect, a method can include receiving input indicating a user preference for magnification of content. Content that corresponds to the preference can be identified. One or more contextual content elements that are not adjacent to the selected content in the user interface and that are determined to provide context to the selected content can be identified. A magnification area on the user interface of the computing device that includes at least the selected graphical content and the one or more contextual content elements can be displayed.
