A containment apparatus for enclosing a metallic fastener extending through a structure includes a cap member. The cap member includes a first wall member which defines a first cavity and a first end. The first end defines a first opening providing access into the first cavity for at least a portion of the metallic fastener. The cap member further includes a second wall member secured to and extends from an exterior surface of the first wall member. The second wall member extends spaced apart from and along the first wall member to a first end. The second wall member surrounds the first wall member such that first wall member and second wall member form a second cavity positioned between the first wall member and the second wall member. The first end of the first wall member and the first end of the second wall member are coplanar with one another.

EME cap for preventing uncured sealant squeeze out

Methods, systems and apparatuses are disclosed for at least partially curing a light-curable material within a dispenser to obtain an at least partially-cured material and dispensing the at least partially-cured material to a substrate, while retaining substantially all of the light within the dispenser.

Light-curable sealant applicator

Described herein is an apparatus for applying and curing a light-curable material on a work surface. The apparatus includes a nozzle from which the light-curable material is applied to the work surface to form a layer of light-curable material on the work surface. The layer of light-curable material has a leading edge and a trailing edge defined according to a direction of movement of the nozzle relative to the work surface. The apparatus also includes a light source fixed relative to the nozzle. The light source is operable to direct a light beam to the trailing edge of the layer of light-curable material.

Light-curable material applicator and associated methods

A method and apparatus for applying sealant. The apparatus may comprise a shaping portion, a centering portion, and a support system. The shaping portion may have a cavity configured to receive a fastener system and receive a sealant. The centering portion may have a channel configured to position the shaping portion in a desired position around the fastener system when the fastener system is received in the cavity. The support system may be configured to maintain the desired position of the apparatus.
