A system for controlling an impedance matching circuitry can include an antenna, a receiving or transmitting circuitry, an impedance matching circuitry, a circuitry, and a controller. The impedance matching circuitry can be coupled between the antenna and the receiving or transmitting circuitry. The circuitry can be configured to set a value of an impedance of the impedance matching circuitry. The controller can be configured to determine, based on a state of an electronic device, that the electronic device is configured to perform one or more functions with one or more of a satellite radio navigation signal at a first or a second frequency, a wireless local area network signal at a third or a fourth frequency, or a personal area network signal at a fifth or a sixth frequency. The controller can be configured to control, in response to a determination of the state of the electronic device, the circuitry.

Controlling impedance matching circuitry

Systems and methods are provided for an antenna switch module () for an electronic device () including wireless communication circuitry () and an antenna () configured to transmit and receive signals over a plurality of frequency bands. The antenna switch module may include a plurality of antenna switches () positioned in series and configured to pass signals between the antenna and wireless communication circuitry and to selectively operate in one of the bands. The first antenna switch () may include a plurality of pins () arranged in a first configuration, and the second antenna switch () may include a plurality of pins () arranged in a second configuration that is a mirror image of the first configuration. The antenna switch module may further include a plurality of non-overlapping signal paths () configured to selectively deliver signals between the antenna switches, each signal path being associated with a respective band.

Systems and methods are provided for arranging antennas in an electronic device (). According to one aspect, the electronic device includes a housing () and an antenna arrangement. The antenna arrangement includes a first volume () positioned adjacent to an edge () of the housing, the first volume enclosing a first antenna structure () shaped substantially according to a geometry of the edge; a second volume () positioned adjacent to a first corner () of an opposing edge () of the housing, the second volume including a second antenna structure () shaped substantially according to a geometry of the first corner; and a third volume () adjacent to a second corner () of the opposing edge, the third volume including a third antenna structure () shaped substantially according to a geometry of the second corner, wherein the first, second, and third volumes do not overlap and are discontinuous.

Systems and methods for antenna arrangements in an electronic device

A method and chipset for tracking a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) within the constraints of an indoor facility. The method includes receiving assistance information on the GNSS on a mobile communication system; and sorting orbiting satellites within the GNSS by elevation angles. Additionally, lower elevation satellites are correlated within the GNSS prior to correlating higher elevation satellites.

An apparatus and a method for reducing magnetic field in near-field by presenting high impedance at an operating frequency band are disclosed. A conducting element (), which is suspended substantially parallel to a first side () of a printed circuit board () of a wireless portable communication device () over an electrically grounded conductor (), forms a reactive element. The reactive element provides high impedance at operating frequencies of the wireless portable communication device and diverts radio frequency currents from the first side of the printed circuit board to the second side of the printed circuit board such that a magnetic field produced by the radio frequency currents on the first side of the printed circuit board is reduced in the near-field.
