Systems and methods are disclosed for determining tool offset data for a tool attached to a robot at an attachment point. In an embodiment, a method includes controlling the robot to contact a reference object with the tool. The reference object is a rigid object with a known location. A force feedback sensor of the robot indicates when the tool has contacted the reference object. Once contact is made, data indicating robot position during tool contact is received. Additionally, the robot temporarily stops movement of the tool to prevent damage to the tool or the reference object. Next, tool offset data is determined based on the position of the reference object relative to the robot and the received robot position data. The tool offset data describes the distance between at least one point on the tool and the attachment point.

System and method for determining tool offsets

Example systems and methods are disclosed for determining work offset data for a robot in a work environment. A robot operating in a work environment may receive an indication to determine a work offset. The work offset may describe the location and angular orientation of a working plane of the work environment relative to a base plane of the robot. In response to the indication, the robot may identify the working plane. The robot may be controlled to contact one or more points of the working plane. The robot may determine respective point locations of the contacted points relative to the base plane based on the respective positions of the robot at respective times of contact. The robot may determine the location and angular orientation of the working plane relative to the base plane based on the determined respective point locations of the contacted points.

System and method for determining a work offset

Systems and methods are disclosed for determining tool offset data for a tool attached to a robot at an attachment point. An example system includes a robotic device, at least one invisible fiducial marker on the robotic device that is detectable within a particular band of invisible light, a camera that is configured to detect the particular band of invisible light, and a control system. The control system may be configured to receive an image of the robotic device within an environment, identify at least one position within the image of the at least one invisible fiducial marker on the robotic device, determine a position of the robotic device relative to the camera, determine one or more positions within the image to overlay one or more virtual annotations, and provide for display of the image of the robotic device within the environment with the one or more virtual annotations overlaid at the one or more determined positions within the image.

Systems and methods are disclosed for determining work offset data for a robot in a work environment. In an embodiment, a robot operating in a work environment receives an indication to determine a work offset. The work offset describes the location and angular orientation of a working plane of the work environment relative to a base plane of the robot. In response to the indication, the robot identifies the working plane. The robot is controlled to contact one or more points of the working plane. Methods and systems for teaching positions to components of devices are described. An example method includes providing instructions to a robotic device or robotic manipulator to place the robotic manipulator into a fine-tuning teach mode, in which the robotic manipulator is in a given position and is configured to move based on application of a manual contact in one or more step movements having a preset amount of distance. The method also includes determining that a given manual contact is applied to the robotic manipulator, and causing the robotic manipulator to incrementally move in the one or more step movements having the preset amount of distance.

The system includes a source node that receives a message authorizing a disbursement of the prepaid amount of energy at a receiver node. The wearable computing device may comprise a head-mountable display (HMD), and the HMD may comprise a viewing frame. The image data may be displayed within the viewing frame. The wearable computing device may receive movement information indicative of at least one movement of the wearable computing device. The at least one movement of the wearable computing device may comprises at least one of a pan of the wearable computing device or a tilt of the wearable computing device. In response to receiving the movement information, the wearable computing device may perform a cropping action on the image data so as to generate a cropped image. The cropped image may represent a reduced portion of the image data.
