Aspects presented herein may improve the performance of mobile/computer applications. Aspects presented herein may enable mobile/computer applications to differentiate entities that are associated with UEs or entities running the navigations applications, thereby enabling the mobile/computer applications (or their associated servers) to have a more accurate understanding of the conditions surrounding the UEs and their users. In one aspect, a network node obtains first information including at least one feature associated with a plurality of devices. The network node selects a first subset of the plurality of devices for a measurement based on the at least one feature associated with the plurality of devices (or the network node may exclude a second subset of the plurality of devices from the measurement).

Systems and methods for navigation model enhancement

Techniques described herein include utilizing a mobile device as a proxy receiver and/or transmitter for a vehicle in a V2X network. In some embodiments, the mobile device associated mobile device capabilities may be configured to obtain vehicle capabilities and store such data in memory at the mobile device. The mobile device may obtain any suitable combination of a reception credential and one or more transmission credentials. In some embodiments, the one or more transmission credentials may be generated by a credential authority based at least in part on determining that the vehicle capabilities and mobile device capabilities indicate that the sensor(s) and/or processing resources of the vehicle and/or mobile device meet transmission requirement thresholds for the network. The mobile device may subsequently transmit any suitable data message on behalf of the vehicle using at least one of the transmission credentials.

Obtaining a credential for V2X transmission on behalf of a vehicle

Techniques described herein include utilizing a mobile device as a proxy receiver for a vehicle such that a driver of the vehicle can be presented driving assistance information based on messages received by the mobile device. The mobile device can determine that it is temporally located with the vehicle. If so, the mobile device can be configured to receive messages from other entities (e.g., vehicles, roadside units, traffic signals, and the like) in a vehicle-to-everything network. On reception, the mobile device may determine whether a received data message is relevant to the vehicle. In response to determining that the data message is, in fact, relevant to the vehicle, the mobile device may provide driving assistance information that is generated based at least in part on the information provided in the received data message.

Techniques for utilizing a mobile device as a proxy for a vehicle

Disclosed is a method and apparatus for operating a first device. The first device obtains environment information in proximity to the first device and receives one or more communication messages from a second device and the message(s) includes relevance criteria, wherein the relevance criteria indicates one or more devices, one or more sets of device characteristics, one or more lanes, one or more intersections or areas, one or more pedestrian paths or bicycle paths, one or more signal characteristics from the second device or any combination thereof. The first device determines whether the one or more communication messages are relevant to the first device based on the relevance criteria and the environment information and performs an operation in response to the determination of whether the one or more communication messages are relevant.

Planning and control framework with communication messaging

A user device and transportation entity, such as a transport vehicle or transport server, perform information exchanges for a transportation service using Device-to-Device (D2D) communications, such as dedicated short-range communication (DSRC), a cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X), or a 5G New Radio (NR). The information exchanges, for example, are related to, e.g., logistics and delivery of transportation services. For example, the user device may transmit a transportation request message that includes information elements, such as an identifier, a type of transport device requested, a number of users, requested destination, etc. The transportation entity may transmit a transportation response message accepting or rejecting the request. Additional messages, such as a status request and status of the transportation, as well as messages related to completing the transportation service may be exchanged.

Vehicle to everything application messaging

Methods, systems, and devices for multi-device object tracking and localization are described. A device may transmit a request message associated with a target object to a set of devices within a target area. The request message may include an image of the target object, a feature of the target object, or at least a portion of a trained model associated with the target object. Subsequently, the device may receive response messages from the set of devices based on the request message. The response messages may include a portion of a captured image including the target object, location information of the devices, a pose of the devices, or temporal information of the target object detected within the target area by the devices. In some examples, the device may determine positional information with respect to the target object based on the one or more response messages.

Multi-device object tracking and localization

Techniques described herein include utilizing a mobile device as a proxy receiver for a vehicle in a V2X environment. In some embodiments, the mobile device may be configured to obtain vehicle and/or occupant metadata and store such data in memory at the mobile device. At a subsequent time, the mobile device may receive a V2X data message from a remote device (e.g., a V2X capable vehicle, another proxy device, a roadside unit, or any suitable device of the V2X environment that is different from the mobile device). The mobile device may process the data message based at least in part on the vehicle metadata and/or occupant metadata and perform one or more operations in response to processing the data message.

Techniques for utilizing CV2X registration data

Techniques are provided for responding to congestion-sensitive preemptive data download requests in a V2X network. An example method for downloading data on a mobile device includes determining an estimated time of arrival at a station based at least in part on almanac information, generating a data download request based at least in part on the estimated time of arrival at the station, transmitting the data download request, and receiving one or more data packets from the station based on the data download request.

V2X congestion-sensitive preemptive data download request

Disclosed embodiments pertain to a method for determining position information of a target vehicle relative to an ego vehicle. The method may comprise: obtaining, by at least one image sensor, first images of one or more target vehicles and classifying at least one target vehicle from the one or more target vehicles based on the one or more first images. Further, vehicle characteristics corresponding to the least one target vehicle may be obtained based on the classification of the least one target vehicle. Position information of the at least one target vehicle relative to the ego vehicle may be determined based on the vehicle characteristics.

Proximate vehicle localization and identification

Various embodiments enable delivering an item using an unmanned autonomous vehicle (UAV) in response to receiving an electronic order for an item. Order parameters may be determined based on the electronic order identifying the item and details regarding delivery of the item. UAV components may be selected for operating the UAV based on UAV parameters meeting the order parameters. UAV-compliant packaging parameters may be determined for transporting the item carried by the UAV. Selected UAV-compliant packaging may enable the UAV to meet at least some of the order parameters and the UAV parameters. Assembly of the UAV may be coordinated to include the selected UAV components and selected UAV-compliant packaging with the item therein. The selected UAV-compliant packaging may meet the determined UAV-compliant packaging parameters. The assembled UAV and packaging may be dispatched for delivering the item.

Customized packaging for unmanned autonomous vehicle item delivery

Methods, devices, and systems of various embodiments are disclosed for exploiting opportunistic energy harvesting conditions for an unmanned autonomous vehicle (UAV). Various embodiments include determining mission power parameters for the UAV and accessing energy-harvesting data. A suitability of an energy-harvesting site for stationary energy harvesting by the UAV may be assessed based on the mission power parameters and the energy-harvesting data. In addition, an initial course of the UAV may be adjusted based on the assessment of the suitability of the energy-harvesting site. Stationary energy harvesting may include a process performed by the UAV that derives energy by conversion from an external power source while in a fixed position and/or in contact with an adjacent object.
