The present disclosure relates to a method for use with a serializer/deserializer comprising. The method may include grouping one or more lane modules associated with an integrated circuit (IC) together to form a link, wherein each of the one or more lane modules includes a reset state machine and a high speed reset generator. The method may also include providing a common module having a common reset release state machine and a reset release synchronizer and pulse generator, the common module and one or more lane modules being configured to communicate therebetween. The method may further include resetting each link independently using the one or more lane modules.

Method for link resets in a SerDes system

A system and method are provided for combined generation of I and Q signal references according to a periodic input signal and selective phase interpolation of an output signal with reference thereto. A ring oscillator portion generates an oscillator signal, and includes a plurality of delay stages interconnected in cascade to collectively execute an odd number of signal state inversions within a closed loop. The delay stages establish at respective nodes defined therebetween correspondingly delayed oscillator signal versions, successively shifted in phase by a predetermined phase difference. A signal injection portion selectively applies to at least one node of the ring oscillator portion a current bias according to the periodic input signal, and selectively adjusts each current bias in amplitude. The oscillator signal is thereby frequency locked to the periodic input signal, defining I/Q references with respect to the delayed oscillator signal version established at the current biased node.

System and method for combined I/Q generation and selective phase interpolation

In one embodiment, a memory device comprises a semiconductor substrate, a first set of memory banks disposed on the semiconductor substrate and a second set of memory banks disposed on the semiconductor substrate. Each memory bank of the second set is split into a plurality of memory bank segments physically separated from each other and from the first set of memory banks. Each memory bank segment is arranged adjacent to, and occupies less area than, one of the memory banks of the first set.

Multi-bank memory device method and apparatus

A voltage regulator circuit comprises an amplifier, bias network and startup circuit. The bias network is configured to generate a bias voltage for setting a bias current in the amplifier. The startup circuit is configured to mirror the amplifier bias current and to assist the bias network in setting the amplifier bias current based on the mirrored amplifier bias current until the bias voltage approximates a desired level.

Voltage regulator startup method and apparatus

A voltage regulator circuit is operated by enabling a bias network operable to set a bias current in an amplifier. A startup circuit is connected to the bias network, the startup circuit operable to assist the bias network in setting the amplifier bias current during a startup period. The startup circuit is disconnected from the bias network responsive to the startup period lapsing while the voltage regulator circuit is enabled for resetting the startup circuit to an initial state. The bias network may be disabled to reduce the amplifier bias current. Subsequent re-enablement of the bias network is prevented until the amplifier is reliably disabled.
