A fluid control and gas delivery assembly and method for containing, receiving and storing hazardous fluids and for dispensing gas comprising a container, a fluid fill path, a gas dispensing path, a first shut-off valve, a pressure reducer, a fluid flow restrictor, a second shut-off valve and a fluid outlet connector. The first shut-off valve is positioned in said gas dispensing path upstream of a pressure reducer. A fluid flow restrictor downstream of the pressure reducer has a fluid flow restriction path configured to restrict the flow of the fluid delivered to the fluid flow restrictor at the delivery pressure to a maximum mass flow rate that is equal to or less than the allowable mass flow rate standard for the hazardous fluid. The second shut-off valve is positioned in said gas dispensing path downstream of said pressure reducer.

Assembly and method for containing, receiving and storing fluids and for dispensing gas from a fluid control and gas delivery assembly having an integrated fluid flow restrictor

An apparatus for containing and delivering hazardous gases at sub-atmospheric pressure from a pressurized container is provided which includes a valve body in sealed communication with an outlet orifice of the pressurized container. The outlet orifice of the pressurized container is open to an interior chamber of the pressurized container. A fluid discharge path is located in the valve body, between the outlet orifice of the pressurized container and an outlet orifice of the valve body. A pressure regulator having a pressure sensing means capable of responding to sub-atomospheric pressure, is integral to the valve body, in-line in the fluid discharge path with the pressure regulator pre-set to a pressure below atmospheric pressure to allow the gas to be delivered through the regulator from the interior chamber only when the pressure regulator senses a downstream pressure at or below the pre-set pressure. Finally, a high pressure shut-off valve integral to the valve body and in-line in the fluid discharge path and upstream from the pressure regulator is included. The gas flows through from the interior chamber of the pressurized container through the fluid discharge path, through the outlet orifice of the pressurized container, and through the outlet orifice of the valve body only when the outlet orifice is connected to a vacuum system. A method of containing and delivering hazardous gases at sub-atmospheric pressure is also provided.

Sub-atmospheric gas delivery method and apparatus

An adsorbent based gas delivery system is provided which includes a storage and dispensing vessel having a gas outlet conduit and an interior section containing a solid-phase physical sorbent medium having physically sorptive affinity for a gas with the sorbent medium having the gas physically sorptively loaded thereon. A purifier is provided which includes at least one layer of purification media located in the interior section of the storage and dispensing vessel wherein the purification media is located adjacent to the gas outlet conduit of the vessel and provides that any gas desorbed from the sorbent medium must pass through and contact the purification media prior to exiting the vessel through the outlet conduit.

Adsorbent based gas delivery system with integrated purifier

An apparatus for purifying a gaseous product delivered from a horizontal container containing a supply of a fluid includes an elongated hollow tube inside the container and a purifying medium inside the tube. The tube has a first opening, a second opening spaced apart from the first opening, and an internal axis between the first and second openings. The first opening is in fluid communication with a port and the second opening is in fluid communication with a vapor space in the container. A portion of the internal axis adjacent the second opening is at an angle greater than zero degrees relative to the horizontal longitudinal axis of the container.

Built-in purifier for horizontal liquefied gas cylinders

An apparatus for delivering a gaseous product includes a horizontal container having inlet and outlet ports, an elongated hollow tube inside the container, a purifying medium inside the tube, inlet and outlet control means adapted to control delivery of the fluid to the inlet port and to control delivery of a gaseous product from the outlet port. The tube has a first opening, a second opening spaced apart from the first opening, and an internal axis between the first and second openings. The first opening is in fluid communication with the outlet port and the second opening is in fluid communication with a vapor space in the container. A portion of the internal axis adjacent the second opening is at an angle greater than zero degrees relative to the horizontal longitudinal axis of the container. Each of the inlet and outlet control means preferably are single ported valves.

Bulk gas built-in purifier with dual valve bulk container

Method and apparatus for increasing the velocity of sweeping gas as it moves across a gas delivery system contained in a hazardous material delivery enclosure, e.g. a gas cabinet valve manifold box or gas isolation box. An exhaust port with selectively opened and closed apertures juxtaposed to non-soldered or non-welded fittings or connections in the gas delivery system is placed in or on said enclosure to create an accelerated and directed flow of sweeping gas across the non-soldered or non-welded fittings or connections.
