A plurality of visualization objects may be provided for representing one or more data sets in a virtual 3D space. The visualization objects may include funnels, containers, name cards, and so forth. The visualization objects can be arranged in a circular carousel that can be rotated around a position of a virtual camera or user in a VR/AR environment. Individual data points in the visualization objects can be rotated, sized, positioned, colored, or otherwise characterized based on attributes of the corresponding data points. Individual data points can also be animated as transitioning between visualization objects in a unified view. Voice commands can be interpreted as part of an interactive environment that can provide views of the visualization objects to multiple devices simultaneously.

An example system and method for providing audio feedback to a software user when scrolling, panning, or zooming a content area. An example method includes determining one or more dimensions of the content area, which includes one or more sections; detecting a scroll command; scrolling the content such that a user interface viewport moves across the content area in accordance with the scroll command; and playing plural sounds during the scrolling to indicate a scroll direction, a scroll velocity, and to indicate a start position and an end position of the viewport relative to the content area.

A data table transformer includes a data receiving module configured to receive a set of rows, each row with a set of attributes, as input data. The data receiving module is also configured to receive locations for at least some of the attributes as zero-based edges. Layers of the edge are presented from the slowest to the fastest varying layers. The data receiving module is further configured to receive a designation of data values that appear at intersections of edge attributes from the same row. The data table transformer is also configured to walk input data by row and for each edge attribute, to distribute the value of the edge attribute to an edge tree created for each zero-based edge location. The data table transformer is further configured to display the data with a multi-dimensional, crosstabular display.

A system and method for illustrating data. An example method includes organizing the data into objects; assigning a transparency value to each object; and graphically depicting the data by distributing nodes representing the objects in a region of a visualization in accordance with a distribution method or function. Each node is displayed as partially transparent in accordance with the transparency value. In a more specific embodiment, the visualization includes a galaxy visualization with nodes that are randomly or pseudo randomly distributed about a center point or region of the visualization.

A system and method for adjusting a displayed visualization, such as a tree diagram. An example method includes providing a first mechanism for facilitating adjusting spacing between plural leaf nodes of a visualization by a first factor and providing a signal indicative of the first factor in response thereto; and employing a second mechanism to display an updated visualization in response to the signal, wherein spacing between leaf nodes of the updated visualization is adjusted relative to the initial visualization based on the signal, such that a region defined by a group of leaf nodes, whose spacing therebetween has been adjusted, is shrunk or enlarged based on the first factor. In an illustrative embodiment, the example method further includes adjusting the spacing between leaf nodes so that leaf nodes overlap each other.
