A cooking appliance is provided, including a multi-level gas burner with a body having a lower burner section on a lower side and an upper burner section on an upper side. The lower burner section is separated from the upper burner section. The lower side of the body has a first injection point for receiving a first air-gas mixture for the lower burner section and a second injection point for receiving a second air-gas mixture for the upper burner section. The first injection point is partitioned from the second injection point thereby separating the first air-gas mixture from the second air-gas mixture. The body includes a passageway fluidly connecting the second injection point on the lower side of the body to the upper burner section on the upper side of the body.

A home cooking appliance includes a housing, a cooking compartment in the housing, a flue in the housing and in fluid communication with the cooking compartment for exhausting flue gases from the cooking compartment, an exhaust outlet for exhausting the flue gases from the housing, and a flue boundary connecting the flue and the exhaust outlet, the flue boundary separating flue gases from cooling air flowing through the housing and preventing dilution of flue gases with cooling air. The housing includes a cooling rough-in box having a cooling air flow channel for cooling the rear wall of the flue boundary. The cooling rough-in box includes an opening permitting the cooling air to be drawn into the cooling air flow channel from an exterior of the housing by convection owing to heat on the rear wall of the flue boundary.

A burner assembly for a domestic gas cooktop includes a lower burner mounting structure positioned on a first side of the top sheet; a burner body configured to be positioned on an opposite side of the top sheet, the burner body having an igniter positioning surface; an igniter having an igniter end, and a stop integrally formed in the igniter, the stop having an upper ledge; and an urging member that pushes against the lower burner mounting structure, and urges the igniter in a direction away from the lower burner mounting structure and toward the igniter positioning surface such that the upper ledge of the stop is urged into contact with the igniter positioning surface when the burner assembly is in an assembled condition. The igniter is held in an operating position by the burner body and the urging member when the burner assembly is in use.

A domestic cooking appliance is provided. The appliance has an inner space for cooking a food item; a gas burner; an exhaust opening; and a gas flue for directing exhaust gases from the inner space to the exhaust opening. The gas flue has a first part having a plurality of embossed projections, and a first fastener hole; and a second part that attaches to the first part, the second part having a plurality of embossed recesses that engage the plurality of embossed projections, and a second fastener hole that aligns with the first fastener hole when the first part and the second part are in an assembled position. The first part and the second part form a first tubular flue section when they are attached to each other, and the first part has more embossed projections than it does fastener holes.

A domestic cooking appliance having a gas burner and a control panel assembly is provided. The assembly includes a control panel cover; a gas switch for regulating an amount of gas delivered to the gas burner; and a mounting bracket having a front section that contacts a back side of the control panel cover, a set back section that contacts the front side of the gas switch, a top section that contacts the top of the gas switch, a bottom section that contacts the bottom of the gas switch, and a tab that extends from the top section of the mounting bracket and is attached to the top section of the mounting bracket such that it is bendable from an installation position to a switch-retaining position. The tab presses against the back side of the gas switch when the tab is in the switch-retaining position.
