A measuring system for detecting switching states including a signal converter having signal inputs to each of which an associated binary switching signal representing a switching state can be applied. Electrical resistors, at which an associated measurement signal can be tapped on the basis of the associated binary switching signal, is connected downstream of each of the signal inputs, wherein the electrical resistors have resistance values, which differ from each other, and wherein the electrical resistors are connected in parallel to each other. The signal converter also has a signal output, which is connected downstream of the electrical resistors in order to provide a sum measurement signal at the signal output with a sum current strength, which sum measurement signal is formed from the sum of the measurement signals, and wherein the sum measurement signal has a current strength which can be uniquely assigned to a current strength reference value.

Measuring system

A device, preferably a plug-in module, for communication between a controller and a field device. The device includes contacts, wherein a first subset of the contacts is electrically conductively connected or connectable to the controller and a second subset of the contacts is electrically conductively connected or connectable to the field device. The apparatus further includes a circuit having an input electrically conductively connected to the first subset of the contacts and an output electrically conductively connected to the second subset of the contacts. The circuit includes a voltage-limiting unit adapted to limit a voltage at the output, and a current-limiting unit adapted to limit a current between the input and the output and to interrupt the current when the voltage-limiting unit responds.

Device for communication between a controller and a field device

An interface arrangement for connecting at least one control device to a plurality of field instruments, includes: a carrier board having a plurality of signal channels, and a connector designed for electrical and mechanical connection to a second, complementary connector of a signal processing device, being arranged between a first and a second connecting device of each signal channel. Each signal channel has an electrical interface which is designed for releasable connection of respective surge protection modules, each interface electrically connected to an electrical resistor and to a surge arrester which is arranged at least partially on and/or in the carrier board and is designed for arresting surge voltages and/or surge currents which may occur.

Interface arrangement for connecting at least one control device to a plurality of field instruments

A front adapter for connecting to a control device, has a connection device connected to a predetermined system cable for connecting at least one field component, at least one wireless communication interface for wirelessly transmitting and receiving signals to or from at least one wireless one transmitting and/or receiving device which can be connected to a first field unit, and/or at least one bus-capable communication interface for transmitting and receiving signals via a signal bus to or from at least one bus-capable transmitting and/or receiving device which can be connected to a second field device, and a control and/or evaluation device which is adapted to control the transmitting of signals between the control device and the at least one wireless transmitting and/or receiving device and/or the at least one bus-capable transmitting and/or receiving device.
