Aircraft, aircraft wings and associated shear ties are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a first panel coupled to a second panel to define a wing box; a rib disposed chordwise within the wing box; and a stringer disposed spanwise within the wing box immediately adjacent at least one of the first panel or the second panel, the rib including a shear tie including first and second legs extending in opposite directions, the first and second legs to be coupled to at least one of the first panel, the second panel, or the stringer.

Aircraft, aircraft wings and associated shear ties

Aircraft landing gear forward trunnion support assemblies and related methods are described herein. An example aircraft wing disclosed herein includes a rear spar having a rear side and a front side opposite the rear side and a forward trunnion support assembly. The forward trunnion support assembly includes first and second vertical support fittings coupled to the rear side of the rear spar, and a trunnion housing with a bearing. The trunnion housing is coupled between the first and second vertical support fittings. A central axis of the bearing is perpendicular to the rear side of the rear spar. The forward trunnion support assembly also includes a side load fitting disposed on the rear side of the rear spar. A first end of the side load fitting is coupled to the second vertical support fitting, and a second end of the side load fitting is coupled to the rear spar.

Aircraft landing gear forward trunnion support assemblies and related methods

A breakaway support configured to selectively release an actuator from a fitting and a method of providing the breakaway support. The breakaway support includes a race positioned between the actuator and the fitting. The second end of the actuator is connected to the fitting via a ball joint is positioned within the race. The ball joint permits the actuator to pivot about the ball joint in a vertical plane between a first position and a second position. The breakaway support includes a first knuckle that causes the actuator to release from the fitting when the actuator moves in a first direction beyond the first position. A portion of the fitting or a second knuckle may cause the actuator to release from the fitting when the actuator moves in a second direction beyond the second position. A portion of the actuator may break to release the actuator from the fitting.
