First, a plurality of stations within a Spatial Reuse (SR) range of the AP may be determined. Next, Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) calculations associated with the plurality of stations may be performed to determine an SINR impact on the plurality of stations if the AP performs an SR transmission given OBSS/PD parameters currently configured for the AP. Then, based on the SINR calculations, the OBSS/PD parameters for the AP may be dynamically adjusted.

An access point in a wireless network communicates wirelessly with one or more client devices over a channel that includes a plurality of subchannels. Radar is detected on a first subchannel of the plurality of subchannels. It is determined to puncture the first subchannel, based on the detecting the radar on the first subchannel and based on one or more puncturing factors. The first subchannel is punctured, the puncturing comprising muting one or more subcarriers on the first subchannel.

Aspects described herein include an exclusionary approach for basic service set (BSS) color selection and assignment in a network. A network controller for a network selects a radio associated with an access point (AP) under management of the network controller and determines a potential set of BSS colors for the radio. The network controller then removes/excludes a set of BSS colors that impacts the radio from the potential set of BSS colors and updates or assigns a BSS color for the selected radio using the potential set of BSS colors, minimizing the chances that the assigned BSS color will cause an overlapping BSS color condition in the network.

Optimization of radio communications of a wireless network of a local site may be provided. A probe frame or an association frame may be received from a Client Device (CD) operating in the local site that identifies at least one operating class and Multi-Link (ML) capability information of the CD. Channel information of at least one Access Point (AP) having ML capability in the local site may be embedded in a probe response frame or in an association response frame based on the at least one operating class and the ML capability information of the CD. The probe response frame or the association response frame that includes the channel information of the at least one AP having ML capability in the local site may be transmitted, as unicast, to the CD.

Systems and methods herein can analyze a bandwidth restriction in a communication stream of an Access Point (AP). Then, based on the bandwidth restriction, the AP can determine a lower amount of wireless bandwidth to provide to station wireless communicating to the AP. The AP can then modify a bandwidth allocation assigned to the station based on the lower amount of wireless bandwidth.

Switch and backhaul capacity-based radio resource management

Coordinated Frequency Division Multiplexing (FDM) Transmission Opportunity (TXOP) sharing may be provided by determining that at least two Access Points (APs) of a wireless network support coordinated FDM TXOP sharing. In response to the determination that the at least two APs support coordinated FDM TXOP sharing, at least one of: a first bias is applied to a channel assignment algorithm to promote an assignment of overlapping channels of the at least two APs, and a second bias is applied to the channel assignment algorithm to promote an assignment of adjacent channels of the at least two APs. Next, channels are assigned to the at least two APs based on an output of the channel assignment algorithm.

Coordinated access point channelization for transmission opportunity sharing

Techniques are disclosed for determining one or more radio resource management (RRM) input parameters. The one or more RRM input parameters are determined based on a line of sight (LOS) estimate between two wireless stations (STAs). A plurality of RRM values are generated based on the one or more RRM input parameters. A wireless connection is established between a first wireless access point (AP) and a first STA using the RRM values.

In dense Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) deployments, Access Points (APs) in other Extended Service Sets (ESSs) can be hidden (a first AP does not receive signals from a third AP). However, these APs in other ESSs can still interfere with communications between the third AP and the devices communicating with the first AP. To improve service to that device in that situation, the first AP needs information about the third AP in the first AP's decision making processes. In these situations, a second AP, in contact with the third AP, can share information about the third AP with the first AP so that the first AP can avoid colliding with the third AP.

Wireless system and method for interdeployment basic service set identification and channel optimization

Bypassing radar in wide Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) channels utilizing puncturing may be provided. A first client device may be classified as eligible for puncturing and a second client device may be classified as not eligible for puncturing. Next, it may be determined that a subchannel in a bandwidth range should not be used. Then, in response to determining that the subchannel in the bandwidth range should not be used, the first client device may be steered to a first subset of the bandwidth range and the second client device may be steered to a second subset of the bandwidth range. The second subset of the bandwidth range may be smaller than the first subset of the bandwidth range.

Management of radio resources of a wireless network according to a Flexible Radio Assignment (FRA) mode may be provided. For each Access Point (AP) of the wireless network: a type of AP may be identified including determining whether each AP has Multi-Link (ML) capability, and when the FRA mode is for performance, a bias may be applied to each ML capable AP to reduce a likelihood of a radio of each ML capable AP being identified as a redundant radio. For each Client Device (CD) of the wireless network, an identification of whether each CD has ML capability may be made, and a radio configuration of at least one ML capable AP may be tailored to support one or more ML capable CDs.
