A faucet system comprising a faucet; an electronic valve associated with the faucet; and a faucet controller associated with the electronic valve; wherein the faucet controller is configured to receive a faucet command from a command server; and actuate the electronic valve upon receiving the faucet command; wherein the command server is configured to receive a speech-based command from a natural language processing (NLP) server; generate the faucet command from the speech-based command and transmit the faucet command to the faucet controller; and wherein the NLP server is remote to the faucet.

A method for closing the angle stop may include sensing a flow condition, automatically rotating a motor based on the flow condition, and closing the angle stop.

An example computing device may include a display, a logic device, and a storage device storing instructions executable by the logic device to, for each known individual recognized in one or more photos of the album, determine an affinity score for that known individual indicating a connection of that known individual to a) a user of the computing device and b) a context corresponding to the album. The instructions may be further executable to select one or more known individuals based on the affinity score to be included in a subset of the known individuals recognized in one or more photos of the album, and select a representative photo of each of the subset of the known individuals to be included in one or more of a highlight photoset and a cover photo for the album.

In one embodiment, a method for minimizing latency of a query load on a database system by accessing data using an adaptive B-tree index structure comprising a plurality of nodes includes determining one or more characteristics of the query load that are associated with one or more queries received by the database system, determining, for each of the plurality of nodes of the adaptive B-tree index structure, whether to convert the node to a read-optimized node or a write-optimized node based on the one or more characteristics of the query load, and converting at least one of the plurality of nodes to a read-optimized node or a write-optimized node based on the one or more characteristics of the query load.

A gun sighting assembly for training aiming a gun includes a front sight block that is mountable to a top of a gun. A rear sight block is mounted to the top of the gun. The rear sight block has a pair of alignment slots extending therethrough and each of the alignment slots passes light therethrough. The rear sight block has an elevation slot extending therethrough and the elevation slot passes light therethrough. A plurality of lenses is each coupled to the rear sight block and each of the lenses is aligned with a respective one of the alignment slots and the elevation slot. Each of the lenses is visible to a user when the user properly aims the gun. In this way each of the lenses communicates a visual cue to the user that the user is aiming the gun properly.

A graphical user interface for a computer includes a dial control. The control can be implemented, for example, as a touch-based, pointer-based, pen-based and/or keyboard-based mechanism. The dial control is intended for manipulating a large range of values, such as a menu of items from which a user makes a selection, or a range of continuous or discrete values. A dial control can replace other control types such as a slider, drop down menu or text field. The graphical elements of the dial control include one or more displayed rings and a handle for each ring. Inside the ring, or in another area adjacent the ring, a value can be displayed. The ring can be manipulated by the user to change the value selected by the dial control. In the case of multiple rings, each ring can be manipulated independently.
