The present disclosure provides analyte sensors including one or more NAD(P)-dependent enzymes and an internal supply of NAD(P) for the detection of an analyte. The present disclosure further provides methods of using such analyte sensors for detecting one or more analytes present in a biological sample of a subject, and methods of manufacturing said analyte sensors.

Analyte sensing devices and methods

NADP-dependent oxidoreductase compositions, and electrodes, sensors and systems that include the same. Analyte sensors include an electrode having a sensing layer disposed thereon, the sensing layer comprising a polymer and an enzyme composition distributed therein. The enzyme composition includes nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NAD(P)) or derivative thereof; an NAD(P)-dependent dehydrogenase; an NAD(P)H oxidoreductase; and an electron transfer agent comprising a transition metal complex.

NAD(P)-dependent responsive enzymes, electrodes and sensors, and methods for making and using the same

A sensor control device and methods of making them are described. The sensor control device includes an electronics housing and a plug assembly. The electronics housing includes an upper shell matable to a lower mount having a skin-facing surface. The plug assembly is coupled to the electronics housing and includes a sensor module that has a sensor and a sharp module having a sharp. The plug assembly includes a base having a skin-facing surface and a plug portion comprising a lumen therethrough. At least a portion of a surface of the electronics housing or the plug assembly comprises an antimicrobial agent. The antimicrobial agent may be a metal and/or a metal oxide.

Antimicrobial and microstatic sensor systems

The present disclosure provides an analyte sensor for use in detecting aspartate and/or asparagine. In certain embodiments, an aspartate-responsive active site of a presently disclosed analyte sensor includes an aspartate oxidase disposed upon a surface of a working electrode. In certain embodiments, an asparagine-responsive active site of a presently disclosed analyte sensor includes an enzyme system comprising an aspartate oxidase and an asparaginase disposed upon a surface of a working electrode. The present disclosure further provides methods for detecting aspartate and/or asparagine using the disclosed analyte sensors.

Analyte sensors for detecting asparagine and aspartate and methods of use thereof

Techniques for data processing and control for a glucose monitoring system are provided, including obtaining a first sensitivity of a glucose sensor; obtaining a second sensitivity of the glucose sensor; comparing a difference between the first sensitivity and the second sensitivity to a predetermined range of values; if the difference is outside the predetermined range of the values, causing a calibration routine for the glucose sensor to be performed; and if the difference is within the predetermined range of values determining a composite sensitivity for a current calibration of the glucose sensor based on the first sensitivity and the second sensitivity and calculating the glucose level based on the current calibration of the glucose sensor.

Method and apparatus for providing data processing and control in a medical communication system

The present disclosure provides an analyte sensor for use in detecting potassium. In certain embodiments, an analyte sensor of the present disclosure includes at least two asparagine-responsive active areas, where each asparagine-responsive active area includes an asparaginase that exhibits a particular potassium dependency. In certain embodiments, an analyte sensor of the present disclosure includes at least two aspartate-responsive active areas, where each aspartate-responsive active area includes an aspartate oxidase that exhibits a particular potassium dependency. The present disclosure further provides methods for monitoring potassium levels, e.g., in vivo potassium levels, using the disclosed analyte sensors.

Continuous potassium sensors and methods of use thereof

Multiple analytes may be dysregulated singularly or concurrently in certain physiological conditions and may be advantageously assayed together using analyte sensors capable of detecting multiple analytes. Certain analyte sensors capable of the detection of multiple analytes may include first and second working electrodes, analyte-responsive active areas disposed on each of the working electrodes, and reference and counter electrodes. Analyte sensors that include multiple working electrodes but do not include reference and counter electrodes can also be used in conjunction with another sensor that contains reference and counter electrodes, such that these electrodes are shared.

Sensor array systems and methods for detecting multiple analytes

Systems, devices and methods are provided for inserting at least a portion of an in vivo analyte sensor, such as a dermal sensor, for sensing an analyte level in a bodily fluid of a subject. An applicator is positioned against a skin surface and a force is applied to the applicator causing at least a portion of a sharp and an in vivo analyte sensor to be positioned in the body of the subject. In particular, disclosed herein are embodiments of applicators designed to prevent premature sharp withdrawal and/or reduce the likelihood of improper sensor insertion. Also disclosed are embodiments of applicators including sharp modules having an angled sharp which can be configured to create an insertion path for a sensor.

Systems, devices and methods for analyte sensor insertion

A transcutaneous sensor configured to measure one or more physiological conditions of a patient. The transcutaneous sensor includes a substrate and first and second working electrodes on the substrate. The first working electrode includes a first active sensing area and the second working electrode includes a second active sensing area. The first active sensing area of the first working electrode is longitudinally offset along the substrate from the second active sensing area of the second working electrode.

Analyte sensors with reduced interferent signal and methods

Multiple enzymes may be present in one or more active areas of an electrochemical analyte sensor for detecting one or more different analytes. In particular, an analyte sensor may comprise a sensor tail configured for insertion into a tissue and one or more working electrodes having a glucose-responsive active area and an ethanol-responsive active area to detect glucose and ethanol in vivo.
