A method for reporting dazzling caused by a headlight system of a dazzling oncoming vehicle by means of a message produced by the dazzled vehicle that dazzling has been detected, wherein the message contains information relating to a position of the dazzled vehicle at the time of the detected dazzling. The method, also can proceed from the message, for determining an incorrect position of the headlight system of the dazzling vehicle by a comparison between a first intersection point between the trajectory of the oncoming dazzled vehicle and a light field produced by the headlight system of the dazzling vehicle, and a second intersection point between the trajectory of the oncoming dazzled vehicle and a model, stored in the vehicle system, of the light field generated by the headlight system of the dazzling vehicle.

Method for reporting dazzling caused by a headlight system of an oncoming vehicle and for determining an incorrect position of the headlight system

A method is provided for storing light distributions of a matrix headlight system. The method includes loading, from a memory, first control data for lighting means of a first matrix light module for generating a first light distribution; feeding the first control data to a comparison module; loading, from the memory, second control data for the lighting means of the first matrix light module or for lighting means of a second matrix light module for generating a second light distribution and feeding the second control data to a comparison module. The method compares the first and second control data; stores the first control data for the first light distribution if there is a similarity or equality between the first and second control data; and linking the second control data for the second light distribution by means of a link to the control data for the first light distribution.

Method, system, and computer program product for storing light distributions of a matrix headlight system

A method is provided for varying an image processing frequency () of an HD headlight. The method includes causing the HD headlight to reproduce an output video signal () provided by a headlight controller; providing an input video signal () to the headlight controller at an input image frequency; using the headlight controller for calculating the output video signal () in accordance with at least one image processing function in time within a predefined image processing frequency (); determining whether the headlight controller is burdened by a computing time expenditure required to perform the at least one image processing function within an available calculation time between two successive output video signals () at the predefined image processing frequency (), and varying the image processing frequency () depending on a driving situation. Method and system for varying an image processing frequency of an HD headlight

A headlamp () for a motor vehicle has a first projection device () for illuminating a wide surface () and a second projection device () laterally offset from the first projection device () for illuminating a narrow surface () lying within the wide surface (). Intensity profiles () of light emitted by the first and second projection devices () are matched in the lateral direction such that, in at least one lateral peripheral region of the narrow surface (), a gradual transition to the intensity in the wide surface () outside the narrow surface () and a substantially constant intensity between the lateral peripheral regions of the narrow surface () within the narrow surface () occur. A method is provided for operating a motor vehicle () having a headlight () with a projection module (). The projection module () is moved into a projection position by a motor () to regulate a beam width of the headlight (). The motor () is controlled to move the projection module () into the projection position and to reach a motor setpoint value. The motor setpoint value is stored in a non-volatile memory () of the headlight () and, when a voltage supply to the headlight () is activated following deactivation of the voltage supply, the projection module () is moved, starting from the stored motor setpoint value, into a leaving-home position so as to illuminate an environment adjacent to the motor vehicle (). A high-definition vehicular headlamp has a light module configured to produce a matrix of light-emitting points each of which has a coordinate pair. The headlamp generates a light image in front of the vehicle, and the light image is divided into a matrix of pixels that correspond respectively to the light-emitting points of the light module. A specified partial image content is generated in a partial region of the light image. The partial image content acts upon a set of coordinate pairs of light-emitting points, including coordinate pairs having defective light-emitting points that could cause pixel errors. A displacement vector is formed by comparing coordinate pairs of defective light-emitting points with the set of coordinate pairs of the light-emitting points on which the partial image content acts, and the partial image content is reproduced in the partial region of the light image that has been displaced by the displacement vector.
