A sterilization container for medical instruments comprising a base and a lid. A latch may be attached to the lid. The latch may include a mount body and a lever body pivotably coupled to the mount body such that the lever body and the mount body cooperate to define an interior having an opening. A deflector may be positioned within the interior and movable with the lever body. The deflector may include a hub portion supported, a wing portion extending from the hub portion to positioned adjacent to the opening of the interior such that when the lever body is in a secured position the wing portion prevents access to the interior through the opening.

A surgical helmet () for use with a surgical garment () and a power source (). The surgical helmet comprises a protrusion () extending from a top beam () and configured to removably secure the surgical garment to the surgical helmet, and a projection () extending transversely from the protrusion to retain the surgical garment. The surgical helmet may also comprise a post () and the power source may comprise a plug (), wherein the post and the plug comprise complementary features to allow the plug to be rotated about the post without breaking the electrical connection between the plug and the post.

A cassette for collecting a tissue sample. The cassette includes a housing configured to be removably coupled with a manifold receiver of a medical fluid collection system. The housing defines a first void space, a second void space, and an outlet opening. A catch tray is removably positionable within the first void space and includes a screen defining porous features for collecting the tissue sample. A filter element separate from the catch tray is disposed within the second void space. The housing may include a cap portion defining the first void space, and a shell portion coupled to the cap portion and defining the second void space. The cassette may be simultaneously operable in a tissue collection mode in which fluid is suctioned across the catch tray to collect the tissue sample, and a bypass mode in which the fluid is not suctioned across the catch tray.

A workstation is disclosed. The workstation includes a tabletop or desktop having a work surface assembly that has a base structure, a cover member, and a brake assembly. The cover member is supported by the base structure and defines a work surface arranged at an inclination relative to a horizontal surface. The cover member is adapted to slide relative to the base structure between an extended position and a retracted position. Moreover, the brake assembly is adapted to prevent the sliding of the cover member relative to base structure and holds the cover member stationary with the base structure.

A personal protection system including a garment configured for attachment to a helmet, wherein the garment defines a barrier between a wearer and an environment. The system includes a control mount integral to the garment and at least partially disposed on the environment side and the wearer side of the barrier. The system may include an emitter and a sensor configured to detect a signal output by the emitter. The control mount may comprise a lens configured to transmit the signal from the emitter through the garment. A control member may be coupled to the control mount and configured to be manipulated by the wearer. When manipulated by the wearer, the control member may distort and/or disrupt the transfer of the signal through the lens that is detected by the sensor. The sensor may provide a sensor input signal based on the signal detected from the emitter.

A waste collection unit is provided that comprises a vacuum pump and smoke evacuation system including a blower and blower motor. The vacuum pump, the blower, and the blower motor, create noise. This noise is attenuated in first and second sound attenuating enclosures for the vacuum pump and the blower and blower motor. A cleaning system is also provided with rotating liquid delivery devices. An actuator is operatively coupled to the liquid delivery devices to rotate the liquid delivery devices.

Waste collection unit

A person protection system including a garment configured for attachment to a helmet, wherein the garment defines a barrier between the wearer and the environment. The system includes a control mount integral to the garment and at least partially disposed on an environment side and a wearer side of the barrier. The control mount may include a lens configured to transfer light through the garment, and a sensor configured to detect the light transferred or reflected through the lens. A control member may be coupled to the control mount and configured to be manipulated by the wearer. When manipulated by the wearer, the control member may distort and/or disrupt the transfer of light through the lens that is detected by the sensor. The sensor may provide a sensor input signal based on the detected light.

A cassette () for use with a medical waste collection system (). The cassette includes a housing () shaped to be removably attached to a receptacle () integral with the housing. A sleeve () is attached to the cassette so as to be located forward of the housing. The sleeve is formed with a void space. A fitting () for collection to a suction line is attached to the sleeve. A screen () is removably fitted in the sleeve void space. The screen is fitted in the sleeve void space when it is desirable to catch tissue that may be entrained in the fluid stream from the suction line.

An article support, such as a shelf, is securely attachable at a plurality of locations along a generally vertical support or rail. The article support includes a support-engaging portion having one or more tabs, at least one of which is a locking tab having a forward-extending tooth that engages the vertical support, when the tab or tabs extend through slots in the support. Optionally, a biasing element urges the article away from the support to maintain secure engagement of the locking tab with the support. The resulting shelving system or article support system is resistant to accidental detachment of the article supports from the supports and permits relatively small adjustment intervals for the article supports along the supports.

A self-tensioning drive belt system includes first and second gears rotatable relative to each other about a common first axis. A drive belt is fixedly secured to the first gear at a first location on the drive belt, and is fixedly secured to the second gear at a second location on the drive belt. A biasing member is disposed between the first and second gears. Various methods of using and assembling the self-tensioning drive system are also provided.

The disclosure is directed to a table apparatus. The table apparatus includes a support assembly, a surface assembly and an adjustment assembly. The adjustment assembly allows for the movement of a work surface between a first bottom position and a second top position while remaining in the same, preferably, horizontal, orientation throughout the movement thereof. Additionally, the work surface is permitted to rotate about an axis that is perpendicular to the work surface. A secondary work surface is provided, which, when properly set to the same height, cooperates with the work surface to provide a matingly engaged configuration which allows for a substantially continuous joined work surface, while allowing for rotation of the work surface about an axis that is perpendicular to the work surface.
