A motor vehicle includes a left side view camera attached to the left lateral side of the body and having a field of view in a rearward direction. A right side view camera is attached to the right lateral side of the body and has a field of view in a rearward direction. There is a right back up camera and a left back up camera. An optics module receives resulting video signals and produces light fields such that the light fields are reflected off of windows of the motor vehicle and are then visible to a driver of the motor vehicle as virtual images.

A motor vehicle includes a plurality of seats. Each seat receives a respective human occupant of the motor vehicle. A movable driver control interface enables a human occupant to drive the motor vehicle. A positioning mechanism is coupled to the driver control interface and enables a human occupant to move the driver control interface to a position in front of any one of the seats such that any one of the human occupants may use the driver control interface to drive the motor vehicle.

A motor vehicle includes an automatic driver and vehicle information reporting arrangement. The arrangement includes a memory device storing information about a human driver of the motor vehicle and registration information associated with the motor vehicle. An electronic processor is communicatively coupled to the memory device and responds to a prompt by transmitting a signal indicative of the information about the human driver of the motor vehicle and about registration information associated with the motor vehicle.

A vehicle includes an engine and/or powertrain producing noise that is audible in a passenger compartment of the vehicle when the engine and/or powertrain is running. An active noise control arrangement includes a first loudspeaker disposed within a passenger compartment of the vehicle. A digital signal processor receives audio data and transmits an audio signal to the first loudspeaker dependent upon the audio data. A microphone is disposed within the passenger compartment and converts the sound from the first loudspeaker and the noise within the passenger compartment into a microphone signal. The microphone signal is transmitted to the digital signal processor, and the digital signal processor modifies the audio signal such that the audio signal attenuates the noise in the passenger compartment. A vehicle processor transmits a simulated noise signal to a second loudspeaker for use in testing effectiveness of the active noise control arrangement in attenuating noise when the engine and/or powertrain is not running and not producing noise.

An inverter configured for use within a vehicle to power consumer electronic devices and other types of devices requiring single-phase, AC energy. The inverter may include a network interface or other type of the connection to a vehicle data bus or other message exchange system in order to communicate with an electronic control unit (ECU) or other feature included within the vehicle to monitor and control energy consumption by one or more vehicle subsystems.

An apparatus and method for testing a temperature sensor in a vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes a power device. The power device is configured to receive a power signal and to filter the power signal to generate a filtered power signal. The power device is further configured to compare the filtered power signal to a first threshold and to test the temperature sensor based on the comparison of the filtered power signal to the first threshold.

A system and method for controlling the output voltage of a power supply that includes a control section and an interconnect section having an output point. A voltage regulator provides a control section voltage, and a current measurement device measures a control section current and generates a current signal. A controller receives the current signal and a voltage command signal representing a desired output voltage at the output point of the interconnect section. The controller generates an adjusted voltage command signal based on the voltage command signal representing the desired output voltage, the current signal, a control section internal resistance and an interconnect section external resistance. The voltage regulator receives the adjusted voltage command signal and provides a control section voltage based thereon in order to supply an output voltage at the output point that is substantially equal to the desired output voltage.
