An electrical buss has a carrier and at least a pair of electrically conductive elements. The at least a pair of electrically conductive elements extend linearly along a length of the carrier and at least a portion of each of the least a pair of electrically conductive elements is exposed at a surface of the carrier. A connector is releasably couplable to the electrical buss adjacent to the surface of the carrier. The connector has at least a pair of electrically conductive contacts for engaging with the electrically conductive elements at any desired location along the length of the carrier.

Low voltage buss system

An example low voltage buss system is provided. The low voltage bus system distributes low voltage DC power into the office workspace in a manner that reduces clutter and promotes customizable and efficient workspace usage. The low voltage bus system distributes low voltage DC power into the office workspace via an electrical buss having a connector at the end of the buss to distribute low voltage DC power to and throughout office workspace and, in particular, office furniture.

A splice connector, such as a twist-on wire connector, is pre-filled with a plurality of compounds arranged in a corresponding plurality of layers. When the twist-on wire connector is applied to the electrical conductors, the compounds will generally remain in the plurality of layers to thereby allow each of the compounds to perform a different, intended function.

An assembly includes a light source holding component sized and arranged to securely receive a source of light. The light source holding component may include a displaceable protective device that functions to generally protect against an accidental touching of electrical terminals of the light source holding component. An accessory mounting feature may also be provided to the light source holding component, The accessory mounting feature is adapted to cooperate with an accessory to provide a seal against a surface to which the light source holding component is attached. The light source holding component may have wire ports that are formed within an overall general outer diameter of the light source holding component. By way of example, the wire ports may include wire contacts having wires pre-attached thereto or the wire ports may include electrical connectors of the push-in type for receiving and thereupon holding wires inserted therein.

Device for holding a source of light

A heat sink for use in connection with a LED light source holding assembly is provided with a flexible conduit fitting that is used to secure a flexible conduit directly to the heat sink. The heat sink may be provided with a sealed, integrated junction box.

Heat sink for use with a light source holding component

A lampholder includes a housing and a plurality of electrical terminals. The lampholder is adapted to hold a light-emitting diode (LED) tube light assembly supported at two ends of the tube light. The lampholder includes at least one terminal that electrically couples before the remaining terminals located in the same housing to ensure a first-connect, last-disconnect electrical connection when inserting the LED tube light into and removing the LED tube light from the lampholder.

Methods and apparatus for grounding an electrical device via a lampholder

A connector for electrically connecting a conductor to a first printed circuit board (PCB) or for electrically connecting a first and second PCB together. A housing is adapted to be slidably moveable relative to a mounting structure to allow the mounting of the PCB to the surface and moveable over the PCB to contact pads located on the top side of the PCB. In another example, a bridging connector for electrically connecting a first PCB with a second PCB includes a resilient holding element, such as for example a spring clip, engageable with at least one of the PCBs and/or a surface supporting the PCB(s) to releasably retain the housing and the terminals in the correct location.

Electrical connectors for use with printed circuit boards

A connector for electrically connecting a first printed circuit board (PCB) with a second PCB wherein, in one example, the connector includes a housing having a keyed feature adapted to mate with a correspondingly keyed feature provided to each of the first and second PCBs and at least one connecting terminal carried by the housing having at least partially exposed opposed ends each of which electrically engages a contact pad formed on an underside of the respective PCBs. The connecting terminal may be arranged to accept a conductor and to thereby electrically couple the conductor to the first and second PCBs.

A lamp holder for holding a source of LED light includes a lamp holding component that is sized and arranged to securely receive the source of LED light. Keyed openings, engageable with fasteners associated with the mounting surface, are used to releasably attached the lamp holding component to the mounting surface and to urge the source of LED light against the mounting surface once the lamp holding component is attached thereto. Electrical contacts carried by the lamp holding component, provided to engage corresponding electrical contacts of the source of LED light, are also arranged to urge the source of LED light against the mounting surface when the lamp holding component is attached to the mounting surface. The lamp holding component also includes resiliently mounted holding elements for releasably holding the source of LED light in an accessible location.

Device for holding a source of LED light

A socket assembly, electrical apparatus and system are disclosed. The socket assembly may incorporate wire push-in terminations or accept wire plug terminations. The socket assembly may be joined to or integrally formed with the electrical apparatus. A plurality of the apparatus incorporating the socket assemblies may be combined into a system. Particular embodiments illustrating various configurations of the socket assemblies, light fixtures including such socket assemblies and a lighting system including a plurality of such light fixtures are disclosed. The socket assemblies also may incorporate terminal assemblies that include two or more metal components to permit daisy chaining of a plurality of the electrical apparatus.

Electrical socket, apparatus and system

A wire connector has an enclosure including a housing and a cap and one or more contacts supported in the enclosure. The contacts each have outer ends opposite wire ports in the cap to receive a stripped end of a wire in a push-in engagement. One set of contacts has a male blade and the other set of contacts has a female socket at the inner or forward ends thereof. The housings are arranged so that two housings are releasably engagable with one another. When two housings are engaged the male contacts electrically engages the female contacts of the other housing. The female contacts include a sacrificial tine that is always first to make and last to break engagement with the male contact so that any degradation due to arcing always occurs at the sacrificial tine.
