Provided herein is a differential temperature sensor which utilizes multiple temperature sensors to quickly and accurately calculate ambient fluid temperature with a reduced response time. The provided systems and methods utilize a first fluid temperature sensor and a second probe temperature sensor to account for the thermal impact of the device on the ambient fluid temperature and the effect of heat within the device, or temperature difference between the probe and fluid temperature, on the first fluid temperature sensor measurement.

Fast response temperature sensors

Provided are low flow groundwater fluid sampling systems and related methods of collecting fluid samples, including a low flow pump, flow cell, waste container and a communication device in communication with those components. In this manner, the low flow pump may be controlled to ensure a desired constant flow-rate is achieved, and a remote operator may monitor the status of fluid being pumped to the flow cell with the communication device, such as with a portable electronic device, including a smart phone. The system may alert the operator that fluid is ready to be collected for sampling, including at an off-site laboratory. Particularly useful applications are for monitoring groundwater quality and contamination.

Systems and methods for automation of low-flow groundwater sampling

A user captures a digital image, which is then selected for post-processing within the image capture device. The image capture device decompresses the full size image, and buffers any metadata associated with the image. As a user applies each post-processing effect to the image, effect parameters are added to the metadata for the image. Upon completion of post-processing the effect parameters from the metadata are stored in a separate custom effect file. The image capture device then is able to perform the series of effects upon subsequent images after reading the effect parameters from the custom effect file.

A user provides a graphical representation of a desired image capture device control parameter curve with respect to time. A digital image of the graphical representation of a desired image capture device control parameter curve is captured. The digital image is analyzed by a processor that generates necessary control parameters as defined by the desired image capture device control parameter curve. The processor uses the resulting control parameters to control an image capture device during an image capture session.

A method for decreasing aliasing in an electronic image includes estimating an amount of aliasing in a first channel in the electronic image based on luminosity values in a second channel in the electronic image, and processing the first channel based on the estimated amount of aliasing to decrease aliasing in the first channel.

A low frequency value for a pixel value is adjusted by a desired gain. A first high frequency value for the pixel value is calculated. A second high frequency value is generated for the first high frequency value. The second high frequency value is the first high frequency value adjusted by a factor. The factor is resolved as a function of the first high frequency value and the desired gain. A modified value for the pixel value is outputted, where the modified value is the adjusted low frequency value augmented by the second high frequency value.

A method of processing a mosaic digital image includes simultaneously performing edge-sensitive denoising and color interpolation on a first color plane of the digital image. The interpolation fills in missing pixel information in the first color plane.

An intent file describes an intent that is set on an image acquisition device, a computer, or web site. The image intent file is capable of storage in a storage device of an information handling system. The intent file complies with a markup language grammar structure that emulates the image acquisition device's physical structure. The image intent file associates an image with the image acquisition device and associates an intent with the image. The structure of the intent file specifies the physical structure of the image acquisition device and allows for distributed intent execution. A profile describes and creates a base architecture for creating and executing intent on the image acquisition device. The image intent file specifies intent specific to a particular image contained in the image acquisition device memory.

System for setting image intent using markup language structures

A method for automatically cropping, rotating, and scaling a scanned image to ensure that a printed copy of the scanned image is the same size as the original, when possible. The method attempts to honor the default or operator designated orientation of the printed image, but will automatically rotate the image if that will eliminate unnecessary image reduction. Optimal orientation and scaling factors are automatically determined based on the target page size and the size and shape of the information of interest in the original image (not the boundaries of the original document). The operator selects a desired printed orientation (or accepts a default orientation) and selects a desired printed paper size (or accepts a default printed paper size). If an image will fit within the printable margins without rotation or cropping, the image is simply printed without modification. If the image will fit without rotation by cropping white space, then white space is cropped. If the image with all white space cropped will still not fit, the image is oriented so that long sides on the cropped image align with long sides on the printed paper. If the cropped and rotated image still does not fit, the cropped image is scaled to fit within the printable margins and the image is oriented so that long sides on the cropped image align with long sides on the printed paper.
