A dishwashing appliance may include a housing frame, a wash tub, a damper brace, and a damper pad. The housing frame may define a bottom end of the dishwashing appliance. The wash tub may be supported on the housing frame. The wash tub may extend along a vertical direction between an upper end and a lower end. The wash tub may extend along a transverse direction between a rearward end and a forward end. The wash tub may define a wash chamber and a front opening to the wash chamber for receipt of articles for washing. The damper brace may be disposed above the bottom end and below the wash chamber. The damper pad may be held between the damper brace and an outer surface of the wash tub in contact with the wash tub proximal to the forward end.

Dishwashing appliance and sound reduction

A dishwashing appliance may include a housing frame, a wash tub, and a damper brace. The housing frame may define a bottom end of the dishwashing appliance. The wash tub may be supported on the housing frame. The wash tub may extend along a vertical direction between an upper end and a lower end. The wash tub may extend along a transverse direction between a rearward end and a forward end. The wash tub may define a wash chamber and a front opening to the wash chamber for receipt of articles for washing. The damper brace may be disposed above the bottom end.

The rack mounting assembly includes a mounting body that has features for supporting the upper rack assembly and for begin secured to the tub. The tub also includes various features for facilitating mounting of the mounting body thereto.

Rack mount for a dishwasher appliance

A rack mounting assembly for supporting an upper rack assembly within a tub of a dishwasher appliance is provided. The tub defines an alignment feature and a screw hole. The rack mounting assembly includes a mounting body defining a mounting boss and a complementary feature configured for engaging the alignment feature of the tub when the mounting body is properly aligned. When the mounting body is properly aligned, the mounting boss is substantially aligned with a screw hole in the tub such that a screw can pass through the mounting boss and into the screw hole to secure the mounting body to the tub.

Rack mounting features for a dishwasher appliance

A rack mounting assembly for supporting an upper rack assembly within a tub of a dishwasher appliance is provided. The rack mounting assembly includes a mounting body defining a clearance hole and a coaxial mounting boss that is positioned within a counterbored screw hole defined by the tub. A screw passes through the clearance hole and the mounting boss of the mounting body into the screw hole to secure the mounting body to the tub. The mounting body further defines a lateral standoff for creating a gap between the mounting body and a side wall of the tub and other features for properly aligning the mounting body and simplifying assembly.

A rack mounting assembly for supporting an upper rack assembly within a tub of a dishwasher appliance is provided. The tub defines an alignment slot and a screw hole. The rack mounting assembly includes a mounting body defining a mounting hole and a protruding member configured for engaging the alignment slot of the tub when the mounting body is properly aligned. A retention feature, such as one or more flexible arms, extends from the protruding member and toward the tub to hold the mounting body in place until a screw may be passed through the mounting hole and into the screw hole to secure the mounting body to the tub.

A dishwasher appliance and a method for mounting a slide rail within a dishwasher appliance are provided. A rack assembly of the dishwasher appliance includes a bracket with a post. A slide rail is mounted to the bracket, and the slide rail and the bracket are positioned within a wash chamber of the dishwasher appliance. The post extends through the tub, and a sleeve is positioned opposite the bracket on the tub and engages the post. The sleeve hinders retraction of the post through the tub.
