A collapsible support structure supports a frame in a horizontal position, a vertical position or an intermediate position halfway between the horizontal and the vertical position. The support structure is adjustable in all positions of the frame to position the frame at different heights depending on a particular need. The frame is held by a clamping assembly which can accommodate various designs and sizes of frames. The support structure can be switched from an open position where it supports the frame in a variety of positions to a collapsed position where the overall size of the support structure is minimized to simplify the transportation and storage of the support structure.

Collapsible needlework stand

A device for releasably and adjustably securing objects relative to each other such as hanging a picture frame relative to a wall. The device includes a flexible elongated strap slidably received by a latch mechanism. The strap and latch mechanism have complementary locking teeth permitting movement of the latch mechanism in one direction on the strap but preventing movement in the opposite direction. Means are provided to maintain the teeth in disengaged relationship so that the latch mechanism may be freely moved in both directions relative to the strap.

Releasable and adjustable securing device

An adjustable threaded member for repeated adjustment to selected position in which a nylon insert acts against complementary threads to frictionally resist rotation of the threaded members. The nylon insert is in a recess, at least one outer end of which is enlarged to form spaces forwardly and rearwardly of the insert in the direction of rotation of the screw for the purpose of accumulating particles and a distorted portion of the nylon insert.

An arrangement for adjustments on carburetor control devices by which the adjustment is sealed to prevent unauthorized readjustment, leakage or accidental movement out of adjustment by the use of a heat shrinkable tube or cap shrunk into contact with both the adjustment and associated structure to prevent relative movement.

Adjustment for carburetor control devices

A vacuum motor for controlling a carburetor choke valve in which the stroke of the motor is limited to a predetermined length for a predetermined period of time after which the length of stroke is increased a predetermined amount.

Stroke adjustment for vacuum motor

A pressure regulator including a valve assembly in which a spherical valve closure element has a flat closure portion for engagement with an annular valve seat and the spherical element permits rotation and accurate alignment of the closure surface with the seat to avoid leakage.

Fuel pressure regulator

A carburetor choke control arrangement incorporating a temperature responsive bimetal coil and a diaphragm actuated vacuum motor supported jointly to operate on the choke valve. The length of stroke of the vacuum motor and adjustment of the bimetal coil are each achieved by a single screw adjustment.

Carburetor choke control

A two stage vacuum break or fluid motor device of the type used to control choke valves of internal combustion engine carburators. The motor uses a single diaphragm in which the fluid motor plunger operates in a first stage in response to movement of a portion of the diaphragm and in a second stage in response to movement of the entire diaphragm. The stages of movement are under the control of separate sources of manifold pressure which may be made available to the device independently of each other. The two stages of operation may be used to control one or more choke valves through a single output plunger or to control a pair of output plungers movable independently of each other.

Two stage vacuum break

A valve control mechanism for turbo-charged internal combustion engines having a plurality of valves controlling fluid flow paths to devices regulating engine operation and so arranged that when the pressure in the air fuel induction system increases from a vacuum to a positive pressure the control paths are closed to interrupt operation of the control devices.

Valve control mechanism

A time delay device for delaying movement in one direction and permitting relatively free movement in the opposite direction wherein alternate plate members and wall members in a housing are coated with a viscous grease and the plate members are rotated through a shaft connected by a one-way clutch to the control member whose motion is to be delayed.

Time delay assembly

A two stage vacuum break or fluid motor device of the type used to control choke valves of internal combustion engine carburetors. The motor uses a single diaphragm in which the fluid motor plunger operates in a first stage in response to movement of a portion of the diaphragm and in a second stage in response to movement of the entire diaphragm. The stages of movement are under the control of separate sources of manifold pressure which may be made available to the device independently of each other. The two stages of operation may be used to control one or more choke valves through a single output plunger or to control a pair of output plungers movable independently of each other.

A fluid motor or vacuum break device for use with the carburetor of an internal combustion engine in which an output plunger of the motor moves in two stages in succession with a period of delay therebetween in response to variable pressure in the form of vacuum from the intake manifold of an engine. Upon admission of vacuum pressure to a variable pressure chamber a diaphragm assembly moves in a first stage after which there is a period of delay and the diaphragm assembly and plunger moves in a second stage together with a movable wall.

Two stage vacuum break assembly

A time delay valve of flexible material to be supported in an opening in a wall and having a body member provided with a recess permitting the use of a tool to position the valve in the opening in the wall from one side of the wall with the recess also accommodating displaced material during the time that the valve is being installed. The valve has an enlarged head which closes the opening and flexes away from the wall to open and permit relatively free fluid flow. A metering groove extends radially of an annular sealing surface formed on the perimeter of the head to restrict and delay fluid flow when the valve is in a closed position relative to the wall.

Flexible time delay valve

A fluid motor or vacuum break for use with the carburetor of an internal combustion engine in which an output plunger of the motor moves in two stages and at different rates in each of the stages through means of an auxiliary housing supported within the main housing. Upon admission of vacuum pressure to the primary housing and output plunger moves in a first stage at the end of which vacuum pressure is admitted to the auxiliary housing causing it to collapse and move the plunger in a second stage.

A double diaphragm, two stage vacuum break device in which the vacuum break plunger operates in a first stage in response to movement of one diaphragm assembly and in a second stage in response to movement of a pair of diaphragm assemblies. Metering valves are employed to cause delay of movement of the vacuum break devices in each of its ranges and delay can be eliminated from a selected one or both of the stages of movement by omitting a valve member. The stages of movement are under the control of separate sources of vacuum, a selected one of which may be under control of a temperature responsive valve. The range of movement of the plunger in its two stages of operation may be adjusted by mechanical means or a member responsive to temperature.
