In the mounting device () in accordance with the invention, the mounting arm () is held on a guide arrangement (), the guide direction of said guide arrangement being oriented parallel to the rotational axis of the drum () to be fitted. A force measuring arrangementis provided to detect the tensile force in the profile wire, said force measuring arrangement detecting the total force acting on the mounting arm (), at least in longitudinal direction of the wire. In doing so, essentially all the forces acting on the profile wire () are detected, namely, the braking forces of a brake arrangement () as well as the braking forces of other arrangements such as, for example of alignment arrangements, tilting arrangementsor the like.

Mounting device for all-steel card clothings

A mounting devicefor producing all-steel card clothingswith improved mounting quality. The mounting devicecomprises a guide arrangementfor guiding the profile wire. The guide arrangementmay comprise, for example, an angle adjustment arrangementcomprising two brake jaws. The mounting devicehas at least one longitudinal axis, about which the guide arrangementcan be pivoted. The guide arrangementcan be pivoted manually, with the use of a motor or by spring force. In addition, the guide arrangementand the angle adjustment arrangement, respectively, can be adjusted in linear direction, and horizontally and vertically in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction of the profile wire. Optionally, the guide arrangementmay replace a separate brake arrangement as well as a separate alignment arrangement.
