A polyurethane-based binder dispersion is described. The polyurethane based binder dispersion comprises: a polyurethane, which comprises: (A) a polyisocyanate; (B) a first polyol having a chain with two hydroxyl functional groups at one end of the chain and no hydroxyl groups at an opposed end of the chain; (C) a second polyol having a chain with two hydroxyl functional groups at both ends of the chain; (D) a carboxylic acid functional group with two hydroxyl functional groups; and (E) a compound shown in formula (1): m(M+) n(X)&#x2014;R&#x2014;Y&#x2014; (1), wherein m is 0 or 1, M is a metal, n is 2 to 10, X is an amino group, R is a C1 to C18 alkyl group, a C6 to C30 aromatic compound or a C4 to C20 aliphatic cyclic compound, and Y is SO3- or SO3H, with the proviso that when m is 0, Y is SO3H and when m is 1, Y is SO3-.

Polyurethane-based binder dispersion

Inkjet inks are described herein. In an example, an inkjet ink can comprise: at least one colorant; at least one solvent comprising glycerol in an amount of from about 1 wt % to about 20 wt % based on the total weight of the inkjet ink; water; and at least one binder, wherein the binder comprises a polyurethane-based binder dispersion.

Inkjet ink(s)

An inkjet ink composition comprising a polyurethane-based binder dispersion is described. The polyurethane-based binder dispersion comprises: a polyurethane, which comprises: (A) a polyisocyanate; (B) a first polyol having a chain with two hydroxyl functional groups at one end of the chain and no hydroxyl groups at an opposed end of the chain; (C) a second polyol having a chain with two hydroxyl functional groups at both ends of the chain; (D) a carboxylic acid functional group with two hydroxyl functional groups; and (E) a compound shown in formula (1): m(M+)n(X)&#x2014;R&#x2014;Y&#x2014; (1), wherein m is 0 or 1, M is a metal, n is 2 to 10, X is an amino group, R is a C1 to C18 alkyl group, a C6 to C30 aromatic compound or a C4 to C20 aliphatic cyclic compound, and Y is SO3- or SO3H, with the proviso that when m is 0, Y is SO3H and when m is 1, Y is SO3-.

An example of a liquid ink includes a colorant, a co-solvent, and a balance of water. The co-solvent includes a hydantoin having a general formula (I) or a general formula (II) wherein n is an integer greater than 2 and m is an integer equal to or greater than 2. 

Liquid ink containing a hydantoin co-solvent

The present disclosure refers to an inkjet ink set including a black ink with a black pigment, a yellow ink with a yellow pigment, a cyan ink with a cyan pigment and a magenta ink with a magenta pigment, wherein at least one of the ink further contains a polyurethane binder; non-ionic surfactants; humectant solvent; non-volatile glycol ether co-solvent; a polyethylene wax emulsion and a balance of water. The inkjet ink set can also includes an orange ink, a green ink and/or a violet ink. The present disclosure refers also to a system for printing the ink set described herein.

Inkjet ink set

A radiation curable polyurethane-based binder dispersion includes water and a radiation curable polyurethane dispersed in the water. The polyurethane is formed from: a polyisocyanate; a polyol having a chain with two hydroxyl functional groups at one end of the chain and no hydroxyl groups at an opposed end of the chain, and having a number average molecular weight ranging from about 500 to about 5,000; an acrylate or methacrylate, the acrylate or methacrylate having at least one hydroxyl functional group and having an acrylate functional group or a methacrylate functional group; an alcohol or a diol or an amine having a number average molecular weight less than 600; and a sulfonate or sulfonic acid having one or two amino functional groups.

Radiation curable polyurethane-based binder dispersion

An inkjet ink set containing a pre-treatment fixing fluid including calcium-containing crashing agents; at least a co-solvent; one or more surfactants and a balance of water; and, at least, a liquid ink. The liquid ink includes a pigment dispersion, a surfactant, a polyurethane binder, a co-solvent and a balance of water. Also disclosed are and inkjet printing system containing such ink set and the method for printing in such inkjet printing system.

Inkjet ink set with a pre-treatment fixing fluid

An example of an ultraviolet (UV) curable inkjet ink composition includes a pigment dispersed by an anionic polymeric dispersant, an organic co-solvent, polyvinylpyrrolidone, a photoinitiator, a UV radiation curable polyurethane, and a balance of water. The polyvinylpyrrolidone has a number average molecular weight ranging from about 10,000 to about 40,000.

Ultraviolet (UV) curable inkjet ink compositions

An example of an ink composition includes a pigment, an anionic polymeric dispersant, polyurethane, a co-solvent, a surfactant, tristyrylphenol ethoxylate, and a balance of water. The tristyrylphenol ethoxylate is present in an amount ranging from about 0.1 wt % to about 2 wt % of a total wt % of the ink composition.

Ink composition and pre-treatment fixing fluid

Examples provide inkjet printing fluid compositions and apparatuses including such compositions. An inkjet printing fluid composition may comprise a vehicle including at least 50% weight percent water based on the inkjet printing fluid composition as a whole and substantially only one surfactant, the surfactant including alkoxylated alcohol present in the inkjet printing fluid composition from about 0.1 weight percent to about 1.0 weight percent alkoxylated alcohol.

Inkjet printing fluids

The present disclosure provides inkjet inks and associated methods and systems. In one example, an inkjet ink can comprise an ink vehicle and a colorant, wherein the ink vehicle includes an organic co-solvent, water, and from 0.0001 wt % to 0.1 wt % dextran based on the inkjet ink as a whole.
