This invention relates generally to mechanics, and more specifically, to an accessory lid for a bottle. In one embodiment, the invention includes an accessory lid having a base configured to removably couple with a bottle; a cover configured to removably couple with the base; and an accessory compartment disposed therein. In another embodiment, the invention includes an accessory lid having a base configured to removably couple with a bottle; and an accessory compartment disposed therein, wherein the base is configured to removably couple with an existing bottle cover of the bottle. In a further embodiment, the invention includes a bottle having a base configured to removably couple with the bottle; a cover configured to removably couple with the base; and an accessory compartment disposed therein.

Arrangements and procedures for arranging peer-to-peer communications sessions between applications are described. In one implementation, a first application executing at a first device utilizes online presence information of an instant messaging service to select a second application with which to engage in the peer-to-peer session. The second application is associated with a second device and registered with the instant messaging service as being peer-to-peer session invite capable. The first application arranges the peer-to-peer session via components of the instant messaging service. The arranged peer-to-peer session is functionally independent of the instant messaging service.

A system for multi-protocol communication in the computer network has a user interface layer with a common data structure to permit instant messaging communication with multiple service providers that each have different communication protocols. Message data and commands are transferred to a conversion platform layer using an application programming interface (API). Within the conversion platform layer, the data and commands transformed to conform with the messaging requirements and communication protocol of the different service providers. The conversion process is transparent to the user and permits instant messaging to recipients regardless of the recipient's service provider. Incoming messages received from a recipient are received by the conversion platform layer and converted from the messaging requirements and communication protocol of the recipient's service provider to the common data structure of the user interface. The system also permits a user to establish and display a contact list even though the individuals in the contact list may be subscribers to different service providers. When the user logs on to the various service providers, the contact list data for each service provider is provided to the user interface and converted for display to the user.

System and method for multi-protocol communication in a computer network

A co-processor resource manager allocates resources of a co-processor platform to nodes implementing operations requested by applications running on a host processor according to a user-modifiable prioritization of the operations. Lower priority nodes can be evicted by the manager to resolve resource conflicts for newly requested operations. The manager utilizes a query test for the platform driver or client to override eviction or prevent eviction by downgrading an operation's resource usage. A platform driver tracks resource usage of nodes, and classifies resources as singly allocatable or countable types to maintain co-processor resource manager independence from the co-processor platform.
