An expandable sand screen device is described comprising in various examples a rolled-up piece of screen material which is configured to be at least partially unrollable to expand diametrically when located in a wellbore. A piece of screen material may be rolled up to form an expandable roll. In some examples, the expandable sand screen device is run into the wellbore on a running tool and allowed to partially unroll once released from the running tool.

A running tool for running an apparatus for patching a wall of a downhole casing and activating the apparatus in a location in the conduit includes a rolled up or curled up piece of material for patching the wall. The piece of material has a surface comprising an adhesive compound for fastening the piece of material securely to the wall of the casing. The running tool has a heater for providing heat for the apparatus for heating the compound and a forcing device for applying a force to the piece of material for forcing or holding the piece of material against the wall of the casing.

Running tool for a downhole aparatus for patching a wall of conduit and a method of patching a conduit

A method and apparatus for lining at least one part of a wall of a conduit. In particular embodiments, a piece of material in the form of a sheet may be provided with adhesive thereupon, the sheet being curled or rolled up to allow insertion into the conduit. The curled or rolled up sheet may then be positioned inside the conduit, and once positioned inside the conduit, may at least partially uncurl or unroll to apply the sheet to the wall via the adhesive to obtain a laminate.

Well tool and method for in situ introduction of a treatment fluid into an annulus in a well

A sleeve valve device for fluid flow between a hydrocarbon reservoir and a well in the hydrocarbon reservoir comprises a fixed outer sleeve () and an inner sleeve () which is rotatable in order to bring apertures () in the outer sleeve and the inner sleeve into and out of correspondence with each other, for adjustment of the fluid flow through the apertures. The inner sleeve comprises at least one external bulb () with a surface () which, in an unassembled, unloaded condition of the outer sleeve () and the inner sleeve (), is at a distance () from the inner sleeve's centre line () which is greater than the outer sleeve's internal radius (r).
