A brushless electric motor of a motor vehicle, in particular an ancillary unit, including a first phase winding, which is connected in series to a first semiconductor switch, and including a second phase winding, which is connected in series to a second semiconductor switch. The brushless electric motor includes a test circuit, which is connected in parallel to the first semiconductor switch and the second semiconductor switch. A method is also provided for operating a brushless electric motor, and also provided is a drive train actuator of a motor vehicle.

What is presented is a control device for a multi-voltage on-board electrical system of a vehicle, wherein the multi-voltage on-board electrical system has a first electrical subsystem, which is configured to be operated with a first supply voltage from a first voltage supply source, and a second electrical subsystem, which is configured to be operated with a second supply voltage from a second voltage supply source. The control device comprises: a transceiver, which is connected to ground via a first ground terminal of the first electrical subsystem and which is configured for communicating with a communication component of the first electrical subsystem; a control unit, which is connected to the same ground via a second ground terminal of the second electrical subsystem and which is configured for controlling a power component of the second electrical subsystem; a transmission path, which couples a signal output of the control unit to a signal input of the transceiver, wherein the transmission path is configured for transmitting a control signal provided by the control unit at the signal output towards the signal input of the transceiver; a diode arranged in the transmission path, the cathode terminal of said diode being coupled to the second ground terminal. Provision is furthermore made of a number of field effect transistors, wherein the number of field effect transistors on the one hand couples the transmission path to the first voltage supply source and/or to the second voltage supply source and on the other hand couples said transmission path to the first ground terminal and/or to the second ground terminal.

Controller for a multi-voltage on-board power supply

A control device for a multi-voltage electrical system of a vehicle is provided. The multi-voltage vehicle electrical system includes a first subsystem which is formed to be operated by a first voltage supply source with a first supply voltage, and a second subsystem which is formed to be operated by a second voltage supply source with a second supply voltage. The control device comprises: a transceiver which is connected to ground via a first ground terminal of the first subsystem and is supplied with energy at least by the first voltage supply source, and which is formed to communicate with a component of the first subsystem; a control unit which is connected to ground via a second ground terminal of the second subsystem, and which is formed to control a component of the second subsystem. The control unit is supplied with energy at least by the first voltage supply source.

Control device for a multi-voltage vehicle electrical system

A multi-voltage electrical system for a vehicle, which comprises a first subsystem with a transceiver and a second subsystem with a control unit, is provided. A first control signal path which couples a first signal output of the transceiver to a first signal input of the control unit is formed and arranged to transmit a first control signal from the first signal output to the first signal input. The first control signal path comprises a first circuit module which is formed to assume a blocking condition in response to a faulty operating voltage supply in the first subsystem and/or in the second subsystem, in which the transmission of the first control signal from the first signal output to the first signal input via the first control signal path is inhibited.
