Methods and arrangements for controlling a robot device () by a control device () over a radio communication network using a video session are disclosed. Control commands from the control device are embedded (S) into a down-stream video stream and delivered over the communication network () after which the control commands are extracted (S) from down-stream video stream and provided to the robot device. Sensor data from the robot device, based on the control commands, are embedded (S) in an up-stream video stream and delivered over the communication network, after which the sensor data is extracted (S) from the up-stream video stream and provided to the control device. The control device may then determine updated control commands based on the provided sensor data. The quality of service used in the video session over the communication network is herein suitable for controlling the robot device by the control device.

Methods and arrangements for controlling a robot device over a wireless network

A method () for reducing undesirable visual effects, such as judder, in a video image having one or more frames is disclosed. A server node () generates graphics layers from 3D objects, and augments the layers with the Z-layer information and motion information for the objects. The server node then groups () the graphics layers, encodes () the groups into a video stream such that every video frame of the stream is a composite video frame of the graphics layers, adds () the motion information to the composite video frame, and sends () the stream to a client device (). Upon receipt, the client device extracts () the motion information, compensates the positions of the graphics layers using the Z-layer information and the motion information, and applies a selected positional time-warp algorithm to compensate for the translational and rotational movement of the user's head (). The resultant layers are then combined into a video image and rendered () for the user.

It is disclosed a method and an apparatus () of providing a function as a service, faas, deployment of an application. A deployment unit is generated () per group of application blocks, where said deployment unit comprises said group of application blocks, and an implementation of function invocation for functions being accessed by groups of application blocks. Function invocations of the group of application blocks are constrained or bound () to libraries of supporting implementations. Deployment units are provided () together with the element invocations attached to said libraries, to a lifecycle manager of a faas platform, whereby the faas platform implements the faas deployment of said application the performance targets of which, being related to the groups of application blocks. Method and apparatus of providing a function as a service (faas) deployment of an application

A technique for dynamically determining a modification of an initial cloud computing deployment (CCD) of a serverless application with multiple application functions is described. The multiple application functions in the initial CCD are grouped into one or more deployment artifacts each comprising at least one application function, wherein each deployment artifact is associated with a dedicated cloud computing platform type selected from FaaS and CaaS. An apparatus of the present disclosure is configured to obtain at least one requirement for the serverless application or its deployment, and to obtain an application model of the serverless application. The apparatus is further configured to determine, based on the application model and the at least one requirement, a modified CCD of the serverless application, wherein the modified CCD comprises at least one of a modified grouping of the multiple application functions into one or more deployment artifacts and a modified association of a particular deployment artifact with a dedicated cloud computing platform type selected from at least FaaS and CaaS.

Based on differences between any two consecutive video frames of the video, one or more blurs in the video are detected (). Based on a change in the dimensions of the moving blur, a ball impact is detected (). Localizing () of the ball impact on a surface, is based on the change in the dimensions of the moving blur being associated with the ball, and environmental parameters. It is an advantage that localization of ball impacts does not require the ball to be continuously visible.

An adaptive streaming system is described in which media content is provided by a media server as a sequence of consecutive media segments for being individually requested by a media client. A method implementation performed by a media client of the system comprises the generation of at least one request in relation to a media segment. The media segment is divided into multiple temporally scaling media segment levels and the at least one request includes a reference to at least one temporal level of the media segment. The media client then triggers transmission of the one or more request towards the media server and processes the one or more temporal levels of the media segment received from the media server in response to the one or more requests.
