Systems, methods, and computer-readable media, for facilitating control of network loads are provided. In embodiments of the present invention, network data associated with a plurality of base stations within a communications network are monitored. Upon identifying that a network load associated with a base station exceeds a network load threshold, an indication that a user device utilizing the base station that exceeds the network load threshold to communicate should transfer to another base station that fails to exceed the network load threshold is provided.

Controlling network load

An IP multimedia subsystem comprises a CSCF and an HSS. The CSCF is configured to receive a SIP registration message transferred by a user communication device and responsively transfer a registration request to the HSS. The HSS is configured to process the registration request to obtain IFC for the user communication device, wherein the IFC comprises processing instructions that direct the CSCF to perform an operation to dynamically obtain and load data into the IFC. The CSCF is configured to receive a SIP invite message transferred by the user communication device, process text from the SIP invite message against a set of keywords to determine a dynamic parameter based on a keyword match, process one of the processing instructions in the IFC to obtain and load the dynamic parameter into the IFC, process the IFC with the dynamic parameter to determine a communication session parameter, and transfer a SIP message with the communication session parameter responsive to the SIP invite message.

Dynamic determination of initial filter criteria

A wireless communication system monitors device status of a wireless communication device to generate device status data. The system associates a device identifier with the device status data and an anonymous key. The system receives a content request from the wireless communication device and transfers the anonymous key and the device status data to an advertising system. The transferred device status data does not identify the wireless communication device. The system receives the anonymous key and advertising data transferred from the advertising system and associates the advertising data with the wireless communication device based on the anonymous key. The system transfers the content and the advertising data to the wireless communication device.

Providing supplemental content to wireless communication devices based on device status

A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) system controls an Internet Protocol (IP) communication session between a first communication device and a second communication device. A SIP control server receives a SIP bye message from the first communication device indicating a loss of the IP communication session, and in response, transfers a notification request for the second communication device to a SIP registration server. The SIP registration server processes a SIP registration message from the second communication device, and in response to the notification request and the SIP registration message, transfers a registration notification for the second communication device to the SIP control server. The SIP control server receives the registration notification for the second communication device, and in response, transfers a SIP invite message to re-establish the IP communication session to the first communication device.

One or more computer readable media, methods and systems that allow phone calls involving a mobile telephone to be to be conducted using VOIP technology with header compression of the voice packets and dynamically adjustable tiered subscriber service. A dynamic, tiered-subscriber service allows the bandwidth allotted to users subscribing to different levels of service to be adjusted between sessions to accommodate changing network conditions. Header compression involves compressing the voice packet header into a reduced number of bites. Embodiments of the present invention enable simultaneous header compression and dynamic tiered-subscriber service through a new call flow set up that includes a new policy. The new policy is given preference over the other installed policies and includes new attribute value pairs that enables both header compression and dynamic bandwidth adjustments.

What is disclosed is a method of operating a wireless communication system. The method includes receiving a registration request from a wireless communication device, and in response, monitoring device status and updating a data structure with device status data for the wireless communication device. The method also includes receiving a content request from the wireless communication device for primary content from a primary content provider, and in response, determining an anonymous key associated with the wireless communication device and transferring the anonymous key for delivery to a supplemental content provider. The method also includes receiving a device status request comprising the anonymous key transferred by the supplemental content provider, and in response, transferring the device status data from the data structure for delivery to the supplemental content provider. The method also includes receiving supplemental content transferred by the supplemental content provider responsive to the transferred device status data, receiving the primary content transferred by the primary content provider, and transferring the primary content and the supplemental content to the wireless communication device.

Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for determining cumulative data usage information associated with a mobile device. In particular, a request to initiate a communication session is received from a mobile device. Accordingly, allocated data usage information associated with the mobile device is retrieved from a subscription profile server. Based on the allocated data usage information, a gateway facilitating a communication session with the mobile device is provided with a threshold amount of data usage information. After the communication session has ended, data usage information from the communication session is used to calculate updated data usage information associated with the mobile device. The updated data usage information is then stored at the subscription information server.

Provides management of the communication of media communicated to a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) enabled multiplexer in a media distribution network. A SIP enabled multiplexer receives information from one or more components of the media distribution network to identify the status of the media distribution networks. Utilizing the information, a level of communication that media is to be communicated from a media source is determined. The level of communication is maintained until a request is received to communicate media from the media source. The request is compared to the determined level of communication at which the media is to be communicated. The media source receives an indication as to the level of communication that media is to be communicated. As a result, the media source communicates a request to communicate media at the indicated level of communication.

Managing media resources utilizing session initiation protocol

A call session control function (CSCF) controls a communication session between a first communication device and a second communication device. The first communication device detects a loss of signal and transmits a modified session initiation protocol (SIP) bye message. The modified SIP bye message includes a code that indicates a loss of the communication session and an identifier for the second communication device. The CSCF receives the modified SIP bye message and in response to the code, subscribes with a home subscriber server (HSS) for a registration notification for the second communication device. The second communication device subsequently transfers a SIP registration request and the CSCF responsively receives the registration notification for the second communication device from the HSS that indicates a network address for the second communication device. In response to the registration notification, the CSCF transfers SIP invite messages to the first and second communication devices to re-establish the communication session.

Systems and methods are provided herein for transferring an active voice call to a packet communication network. In a particular embodiment, a method provides establishing a voice call having an initial signaling channel and an initial voice channel between a first wireless device and a second wireless device over a first and second wireless access system. The method further includes establishing a new signaling channel for the voice call between the first wireless device and a separate packet network. Also, the method provides extending the new signaling channel for the voice call from the separate packet network to the second wireless access system over the first wireless access system. Furthermore, the method includes using the new signaling channel to establish a new voice channel for the voice call over the separate packet network, wherein the first wireless access system remains in the new signaling channel.

Transferring an active wireless voice call to a packet network

A method and medium are provided for ensuring that a video stream communicated from a mobile device is communicated subject to a minimum quality level. A request to communicate a video stream at a minimum quality level from a mobile device is received. Signaling information from the mobile device is processed and utilized to establish a communications pathway from the mobile device to the target device. The communications pathway facilitates the communication of the video stream at the minimum quality level. The video stream is communicated to the target device contemporaneously to receiving the video clip by the mobile device.
