This invention relates to a pressure vessel comprising a hollow body comprising endless fibers embedded in a thermoplastic polymer, in which the thermoplastic polymer comprises one or more polyamides containing one or more aliphatic monomeric units, wherein the one or more polyamides have a CH2-ratio of at least 5.5 and less than 10, calculated by &#x25a1; identifying the number of different aliphatic monomeric units in the one or more polyamides; &#x25a1; determining the number of CH2 groups per aliphatic monomeric unit for each of these different aliphatic monomeric units; &#x25a1; calculating the sum of the so determined numbers of CH2 groups; &#x25a1; dividing said sum by the number of different aliphatic monomeric units in the one or more polyamides; taking into account only the aliphatic monomeric units present in the one or more polyamides in an amount of at least 10 wt % with respect to the total weight of the one or more polyamides.

The invention relates to a tape, comprising at least one layer comprising a. endless fiber in an total amount of at least 40 volume % as compared to the total volume of the layer and b. a thermoplastic matrix comprising one or more polyamides containing one or more aliphatic monomeric units, c. and optionally heat stabilizer, flame retardant, colorant, lubricant, mold release agent, UV stabilizer, impact modifier, laser absorbing additive as well as combinations thereof; wherein the one or more polyamides have a CH2-ratio of at least 5.5 and less than 10, calculated by&#x2014;identifying the number of different aliphatic monomeric units in the one or more polyamides; &#x2014;determining the number of CH2 groups per aliphatic monomeric unit for each of these different aliphatic monomeric units; &#x2014;calculating the sum of the so determined numbers of CH2 groups; &#x2014;dividing said sum by the number of different aliphatic monomeric units in the one or more polyamides; taking into account only the aliphatic monomeric units present in the one or more polyamides in an amount of at least 10 wt % with respect to the total weight of the one or more polyamides. Process for the production of a thermoplastic polymer comprising segments of a diamide, the process comprising: 1) a first step of preparing a reaction mixture comprising a diamine HN&#x2014;Y&#x2014;NHForm. (I), and a diester of a dicarboxylic acid Form. (II) 2) a second step of heating the reaction mixture to a temperature at least 5&#xb0; C. above the crystallization temperature of the diester and a least 5&#xb0; C. below the melting temperature of the formed amide (formula III) in the presence of an alkaline or earth alkaline alkoxy catalyst Form. (III) wherein X and Y are the same or different and are an aliphatic group comprising 2-12 carbon atoms or an aromatic group comprising 6-20 carbon atoms, R1 and R2 are the same or different and are an aliphatic group comprising 2-15 carbon atoms and wherein R equals R1 or R2 and are the same or different. 3) optionally a third step of quenching the catalyst of the reaction mixture obtained in the second step by adding an acid to the reaction mixture and 4) a fourth step of adding further components to the reaction mixture obtained in the second step, or if the third step has been applied to the reaction mixture obtained in the third step, and so producing the thermoplastic polymer comprising the segments of the diamide. 

Process for producing a thermoplastic polymer containing segments of a diamide

The invention relates to a radiation curable resin composition comprising a cationically polymerizable component, a cationic photoinitiator, a hydroxy component, an impact modifier and wherein the resin composition after full cure has a modulus of &#x3e;2 GPa; a yield stress &#x3c;70 MPa; and a Kvalue &#x3e;1.3 MPa&#xb7;(m)or an Izod value &#x3e;0.45 J/cm. The resin composition can preferably be used in the preparation of three dimensional objects.

Radiation curable resin composition and rapid three dimensional imaging process using the same

The invention relates to a liquid radiation curable resin capable of curing into a solid upon irradiation comprising: (A) from about 0 to about 12 wt % of a cycloaliphatic epoxide having a linking ester group; (B) from about 30 to about 65 wt % of one or more epoxy functional components other than A; (C) from about 10 to about 30 wt % of one or more oxetanes; (D) from, about 1 to about 10 wt % of one or more polyols; (E) from about 2 to about 20 wt % of one or more radically curable (meth) acrylate components; (F) from about 2 to about 12 wt % of one or more impact modifiers; (G) from about 0.1 to about 8 wt % of one or more free radical photoinitiators; and (H) from about 0.1 to about 8 wt % of one or more cationic photoinitiators; wherein the liquid radiation curable resin has a viscosity at 30&#xb0; C. of from about 600 cps to about 1300 cps.

The invention relates the use of a copolyester elastomer comprising hard blocks comprising polyester segments, polymeric soft blocks and urethane linkages, in applications with a thermal overload requirement specifying a thermal overload temperature above the melting temperature of the copolyester elastomer. The invention also relates to films as well as tubes and electrical cables, such as convoluted tubes and electrical cables for use in cable harness systems. The invention more further relates to polymeric materials with high heat properties that can be used in the tubes and cables and to tubes and cables at least comprising a layer consisting of the polymeric materials.
