A method and device for registering an embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card (eUICC) for a device and a method and device for controlling authorization of operation of a device being equipped with an eUICC. In an aspect, a method of a service node of registering an eUICC for a device is provided. The method comprises receiving information specifying ownership of the device and an identifier of the device, receiving an identifier of the eUICC and an identifier of the device, and storing the received information, wherein ownership of the device and the identifier of the eUICC being arranged in the device is registered with the service node.

A flexible approach to segmenting a resource (e.g., a media resource, such as a media segment, or other resource, such as a resource normally fetched or pushed using general file transfer protocols like HTTP) into a plurality of fragments. By employing such an approach, the delay until the resource can be utilized at the client side is reduced. Certain embodiments are provided which apply the flexible segmentation approach to ISOBMFF media segments for video streaming, such as would be used with Live DASH streaming.

According to embodiments described herein there is provided methods and apparatus for providing communications to a wireless device using device-to-device communication with an unmanned vehicle. A method in a wireless device comprises establishing a device-to-device, D2D, wireless connection to the unmanned vehicle; and responsive to receiving an operation command over the D2D wireless connection, performing an operation. A method in an unmanned vehicle comprises determining a current location of a wireless device; travelling to within a wireless range of the current location of the wireless device; establishing a device-to-device, D2D, wireless connection with the wireless device; and transmitting an operation command to the wireless device over the D2D wireless connection to instruct the wireless device to perform an operation.

Methods and apparatus for wireless device communication

Chunks () of encoded video data of a streamed video bitstream () are stored and encoded video data is decoded to form decoded video data to be output for display. A selected portion () of the stored chunks () or selected sub-chunks () of the stored chunks () for a previous, already played out part () of the streamed video bitstream () is or are discarded while keeping selected stored chunks () or selected sub-chunks () stored as navigation tune-in points. A system and method for pushing live media to a client device in an adaptive streaming environment. In one aspect, a media server configured to transmit live media includes a storage unit for storing media segments of a live media programming stream, wherein the media segments are encoded at multiple bitrates identified in respective media presentation data structures associated therewith. A websocket interface is provided that is operative to facilitate a websocket session with the client device. One or more processors of the system are operative to execute service logic for pushing the media segments to the client device substantially in real time during the websocket session.

System and method for pushing live media content in an adaptive streaming environment

The disclosed embodiments relate to determining transmit formats and receive formats for a 3D video communication service. Sets of available 3D video communication transmit formats are received. Each set is associated with a client device. Sets of available 3D video communication receive formats are received. Each set is associated with one of the client devices. One format for transmission of 3D video communication from the at least one client device to the other client devices is determined for at least one of the client devices. The one format is a member of both the set of available 3D video communication transmit formats associated with the at least one client device and the received available 3D video communication receive formats associated with other client devices.

Processing of a digital image that has been recorded through an optical system is described, the image being in a raw format matrix of picture elements and comprising a plurality of subsets of picture elements, each subset corresponding to a color component. The method comprises analyzing values of picture elements of the color components in terms of spatial features, resulting in at least one calculated parameter that is representative of aberration caused by the optical system, and performing demosaicing of the digital image by, for each picture element under consideration, defining a kernel comprising picture elements that are to be considered during the demosaicing, the definition of the kernel being dependent on the at least one parameter that is representative of the aberration.
