The present invention relates to the field of diagnostic methods. Specifically, the present invention contemplates a method for diagnosing pancreas cancer in a subject and, preferably for differentiating between pancreatic cancer and pancreatitis and a method for identifying whether a subject is in need for a therapy of pancreatic cancer. The invention also relates to tools for carrying out the aforementioned methods, such as diagnostic devices.

Process for the production of fine chemicals

The present invention relates to a process for the production of fine chemicals in a microorganism, a plant cell, a plant, a plant tissue or parts thereof by increasing or generating the biological activity of a ras-Like GTPase or the homologues thereof and growing the organism under conditions which permit the production of the fine chemicals in the organism. Preferred fine chemicals produced by the present invention include amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, fatty acids, and carotenoids.

A method for analyzing a test sample is disclosed, the test sample comprising at least one compound. A test sample comprising at least one compound is provided. Next, the at least one compound in the test sample is determined, thereby generating raw results.
