The oral hygiene device, particularly a toothbrush, has in the neck part, a cavity, which is closed off from the surroundings and in which a snap dome is arranged. This snap dome produces an acoustic warning signal when a limiting bending of the neck part is exceeded as a result of a limiting pressing force with which the head part is pressed, for example, against the teeth and gums is exceeded. On the one hand, this has the effect of protecting the snap dome, usually produced from metal, from corrosion and, on the other hand, the cavity serves as a resonance chamber to amplify the warning signal.

Oral hygiene device, particularly a toothbrush, and method for the production thereof

A unitary two component article for personal hygiene, such as a toothbrush, wherein the same is formed by injection molding of two differing plastic materials. The plastics do not adhesively or chemically bond to each other. The two differing plastic parts of the toothbrush are mechanically connected, such as by interfitting portions of the two plastic components or by shrinking one plastic component about the other.

The invention relates to a process for producing a toothbrush having a body, which comprises a handle region, a head region and a neck region located between the handle region and the head region, and having functional elements which are arranged, at least in part, within the body and comprise an electrically operated functional unit and an electric supply device which has an energy store and is intended for the functional unit, in the case of which the body is produced, by injection molding, from at least one hard component, which serves as a reinforcement, and at least one soft component, and at least some of the functional elements, during the production of the body, are encapsulated, at least in part, directly by the plastic which forms the soft component.

Oral hygiene device

The invention relates to a toothbrush with a neck piece and a brush body, comprising a head piece connected thereto, conventional bristles and at least one soft elastic cleaning element. According to the invention, the conventional bristles are mounted on a support element made from hard plastic. The above is connected to the brush body by means of a recess on the head piece which matches the support element. The at least one cleaning element is arranged on the head piece and directly connected to the brush body. The invention further relates to a method for production of such a toothbrush.

Toothbrush and process for producing the same

The toothbrush body according to the invention has on its top side a hand-supporting section with at least one longitudinal support strip which extends along the longitudinal axis of a handle part and next to which is located at least one recess which extends laterally from the top side to a bottom side. The recesses can take the form of holes located between two longitudinal support strips or of open lateral recesses formed in the broad sides of the toothbrush body.

The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a toothbrush () or part thereof by the two-component or multi-component injection-molding process. To produce in the brush body segments () that are isolated from the rest of the brush body, a mold () which comprises three hollow regions () is used. Two of these hollow regions () that are separate from one another serve for producing the segments () and the other regions () of the toothbrush () from a first component (). A third hollow region () serves for distributing material to the segments () that are isolated from one another and from the other regions (), or the corresponding hollow region (). The material () remaining behind there is removed and sent for disposal. In a further step, connecting elements () between the segments () and/or the other regions () are injection-molded from a second component ().

Process for producing an oral care device

The invention relates to saucer-type handle components () that pertain to a hollow handle and are produced in several steps. Said handle is used for a toothbrush. Said components are joined together and are inserted into an injection mould (). A synthetic material, preferably a thermoplastic elastomer, is injection-moulded around the mould-parting line between the handle components () in said injection mould (). The connection seam () thus produced holds the two handle components () together in a nondetachable manner and seals the hollow space () which is formed by the handle components ().
