A protective pad for protection from impact and a protective garment using the protective pad may be provided. In one implementation, the protective pad may include a foam part and a plate part. The foam part may include a plurality of channels, a plurality of cutout portions, and a plate accommodating section for receiving the plate part. The channels may be formed in a first surface of the foam part and the plate accommodating section may be formed in a second surface opposite to the first surface. The cutout portions of the foam part may include through-holes formed in the foam part from the first surface to the second surface. The plate part may be arranged on the plate accommodating section of the foam part, and the plate part may include a plurality of cutout portions that are substantially aligned with the cutout portions of the foam part.

Protective pad for protection from impact and a protective garment using the same

An electrically heatable, above-the-calf, oversock is formed by interconnected fabric sections. The oversock defines a foot section and a leg section interconnected with one another. The foot section has a toe heating section secured thereto. The leg section is formed of interconnected pattern fabric panels secured together by thread seams. In one embodiment of the oversock, the pattern fabric panels include two elongated side fabric panels extending from a top end of the leg section to the foot section, a front panel and a rear panel. At least the lateral one of the two elongated side fabric panels is formed by two or more superimposed side panel pattern pieces interconnected to one another by stitch seams and defining there between a channel through which extends a power feed wire from a switch secured in a upper part of the channel and accessible from an outer surface of the lateral side panel. The feed wire extends to the toe heating section where it is secured to a toe heating wire. An oversock retainer is secured about a top end of the leg section for retention of the oversock above the calf of a wearer person's leg.

A clothing article having a support member is provided. The clothing article includes an outer shell, a portion of the outer shell being dimensioned to fit loosely on a body of a wearer. A support structure has a support member supporting the body of the wearer when positioned thereon, and fits snugly on the body of the wearer, At least one tether portion extends between the support member and at least one connection region that is secured to the outer shell. At least a part of the at least one tether portion is dimensioned to enable the outer shell to move substantially freely relative to the support member when the clothing article is worn by the wearer.

A knee brace comprising a frame assembly comprising an outer frame portion and an inner frame portion. The invention is to a protective pad for protection from impact and a protective garment using the same. The protective pad includes a foam part and a plate part. The invention is to shoulder pads having arches that are pivotably connected to the chest and back portions of the pads to give an increased range of motion for a user. The arch is connected with a single pivoting connection on the chest portion and a single pivoting connection on the back portion so that the arch pivots relative to the chest and back portions of the shoulder pads. The arch portions of the pads are manufactured by injection molding so that the arches maintain their arch shape without the need for structural components to maintain its shape. The invention also includes a buckle system for shoulder pads that provide an easy mechanism for a user to adjust and to take the pads on and off. The buckle system provides a generally flush mount which reduces and preferably eliminates any grab points.
