A gyroscope-based rotation damper for a motor vehicle, includes a flywheel that is driven via a drive, rotates around an axis of rotation at an angular velocity (&#x3c9;), the flywheel being mounted in a gimbal on the motor vehicle structure by way of a first bearing element and a second bearing element. The flywheel is mounted rotatably around the angle of rotation (&#x3c6;) at the first bearing element, and the first bearing element is rotatably mounted at the second bearing element around a first angle of rotation (&#x3b8;) around a first axis aligned orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the flywheel, and the second bearing element is mounted rotatably around a second angle of rotation (&#x3c8;) around a second axis aligned orthogonal to the first axis, as well as a controller unit for controlling a shaft drive.

Gyroscope-based rotation damper for a motor vehicle

A rotation damper for a motor vehicle. A flywheel driven via a drive with angular velocity and rotating about an axis of rotation is cardanically mounted via a first bearing element and a second bearing element. The flywheel is rotatably mounted on the first bearing element at the rotational angle and the first bearing element is rotatably mounted on the second bearing element at a first rotational angle of a first axis of the flywheel oriented orthogonally to the axis of rotation, and the second bearing element is rotatably mounted at a second rotational angle of a second axis oriented orthogonally to the first axis. The first bearing element is operationally connected to a shaft drive and the second bearing element can be connected by a means to a wheel carrier of the motor vehicle.

A rotational damper for a motor vehicle, includes a gyro element which includes a first shaft mounted such that it can be rotated with respect to a first component and is connected to a second component which performs a relative movement with respect to the first component, wherein the first shaft has a frame, in which a second shaft lies orthogonally and is mounted rotatably, wherein the second shaft has a frame, in which a third shaft is mounted orthogonally with respect to the second shaft and such that it can be rotated in the second frame, wherein the second shaft and the third shaft are each connected to a shaft drive, and the third shaft has an inertia weight, wherein a rotation of the second shaft by the second shaft drive brings about a change in the angular velocity or the moment of the first shaft which is connected to the second component.

Rotational damper for a motor vehicle

A device for damping vibrations with an energy recovery capability includes an input shaft rotatable about the input shaft longitudinal axis with an alternating rotational direction by a component that vibrates relative to the device. A freewheel device is connected to the input shaft on the drive side and at least indirectly to a generator on the output side, the generator being capable of converting the kinetic rotational energy into electric energy and transferring said energy to an energy storage element, and the freewheel device includes a first and a second freewheel, each being rotationally fixed to the input shaft on the drive side and arranged so as to lock in opposite directions of rotation. The second freewheel is connected to a reversing gear mechanism on the output side, and the reversing mechanism and the first freewheel are at least indirectly connected to the generator on the output side.
