A method is for displaying position information relating to a position of a region of interest of a patient relative to an examination unit of an imaging apparatus. A first examination plane is assignable to the examination unit and a camera is disposed relative to the examination unit such that, via a lens of the camera, three non-collinear reference points lying in a first reference plane parallel to the first examination plane are mapped to three collinear first image points lying on a first line. In an embodiment, the method includes capturing a camera image of the region of interest via the camera; displaying a positioning image, the positioning image including the camera image; and displaying first marking information relating to a position of the first line in the positioning image.

An embodiment of the invention relates to a method for planning support for a computer tomography recording of an examination object by means of a computer tomography device, including the following steps: recording a 2-D overview image (topogram) of the examination object by means of the computer tomography device, determining position-dependent information by means of the overview image, forwarding the information to a projection device, and correct positioned displaying the information on the surface of the examination object.

A system and method of servicing a group of similar types of equipment that maybe installed at geographically separated locations is described. The method makes use of error messages produced by the equipment and service requests received by a servicing center. Data mining techniques are used to establish error patterns associated with specific failure modes so that future error messages may be processed to determine if an identified failure mode has occurred. This will enable the efficient dispatch of spare parts and service personnel to the location where the failure has occurred.
