A drive component comprising a first rotation part and a second rotation part arranged to rotate together around a common central axis with respect to each other around that central axis. The drive component further comprises a rotation limiter operative between the two rotation parts, which limits rotation between them. The rotation limiter is so arranged that when the first rotation part is driven to rotation, the first rotation part after traversing a free angular stroke carries the second rotation part in a mutual angular position determined by the rotation limiter, i.e. the carry-along angle, along in rotation. The rotation limiter comprises an indexer energized by rotation of the first and/or second rotation part, so that in successive driving cycles on the drive component the carry-along angle is indexed and the rotation parts in successive driving cycles differ in mutual angular position at carry-along.

The invention relates to adjusting means for adjusting the position of a first part, in particular a viewing means holder part for a viewing means, such as a mirror or a camera for example, relative to a second part, in particular a base part, comprising at least one actuator, via which the first part can be moved, in particular pivoted, relative to the second part. The actuator has at least one first toothed ring segment and at least one second toothed ring segment, wherein the first toothed ring segment is force-coupled to at least one first actuator—in particular, a position detector—and the second toothed ring segment is force-coupled to at least one second actuator—in particular, an actuating drive. The invention additionally relates to a view adjusting means comprising such an adjusting means.

Drive for an adjusting instrument, comprising a single motor, in particular an electric motor, and a driving shaft coupled therewith. The driving shaft cooperates via a transmission selectively with a first and a second driving path respectively. The drive comprises furthermore an operating mechanism with which the transmission is switchable between the first and the second driving path. The operating mechanism is energized by the motor via the driving shaft and is configured, upon successive energization of the motor from rest of the drive, to select alternately the first and the second driving path as initial driving path.

Drive for an adjusting instrument, in particular for adjusting an exterior vision unit of a motor vehicle

The invention relates to an adjusting instrument for an exterior mirror unit of a vehicle, including a support unit and a housing unit pivotable in a circumferential direction between a plurality of positions relative to the support unit. Furthermore, the adjusting instrument includes a breakable rotation-locked coupling unit for coupling of the housing unit to the support unit. The coupling unit comprises a plural number N of parallel disposed couplings where each coupling has two mutually opposed coupling faces, pressed against each other under spring action and mutually displaceable in the circumferential direction. The coupling faces have a periodic cam pattern engaging in each other, wherein the two coupling faces are mutually breakably rotation-locked and wherein only a limited number M of couplings is in engagement at the same time, with M being less than N.
