A refuse container has a bin defining a cavity and a lid selectively inhibiting access to the cavity. A pair of opposing brackets is located below the lid. The brackets are in laterally spaced relationship such that a space is located between portions of the brackets. Each bracket has opposing inner and outer face portions with an interior gap formed between therebetween. The interior gap is fluidly isolated from the cavity. A rib is located within the interior gaps such that each rib extends inwardly relative to the space between the brackets. A retention bar is coupled to each bracket and spans the space from one bracket to the other bracket wherein opposing ends of the retention bar extend into the interior gap of each bracket, and an exposed portion of the retention bar spans the space between the brackets. The end portions of the retention bar abut the ribs.

Refuse container

A recycling bin has left and right sidewalls, a base, and front wall. The front wall is lower than the other three walls, and when two bins are stacked in a 0&#xb0; stacking configuration, the lower front wall of the lower bin and a sloped surface on the lower portion of the upper bin create a recyclable receiving chute. When stacked, the upper bin is held to the lower bin by a combination of a channel on the lower rear portion of the base fitting over a handle resting upon an upper portion of the rear wall. A lower lip on the lower portion of the rear wall aligns with the handle and substantially prevents front-wards and backwards motion of the upper bin. A portion of the handle fits within a top open portion of the rear wall. The bin also has a plurality of inverted 'V' shaped liner retainers.

Residential recycling bin

A refuse container has a lid rotatably coupled to a bin. A locking mechanism for the lid includes a latch including a handle and is moveable between a locked lid position and an unlocked lid position. A detent acts between the bin and the lid and cooperates with the latch so as to effect locking of the lid to the bin when the latch is in the locked lid position, and permit movement of the lid, relative to the bin, from the closed position to the open position when the latch is in the unlocked lid position.

A container system () for collecting and storing liquids comprises a receptacle () with an opening () at a top () thereof. The container system () further includes a lid () covering the opening () of the receptacle () and includes a central aperture () and a plurality of radial channels () in an upper and outer surface () spoking out from the aperture () to permit liquids impinging upon the outer surface () to flow through the channels () into the aperture (). The lid () includes a screen () disposed and held within the aperture () with a plurality of interstices () therein.

Container for rain

A precipitation collector includes a container having a container space for containing precipitation received through a container opening. The container includes a discharge outlet fluidly coupled to a valve to define selectively operable outlet of the collector for selectively discharging the received precipitation. A lid partially covering the container opening and includes a lid passage which defines a collector inlet disposed in fluid communication with the container space through the container opening such that the lid passage provides a passage for entry of environmental precipitation into the container space. The container includes an overflow outlet configured for discharging an overflow of the received precipitation collected within the container space.

Precipitation collector

A recycling bin has a left and right sidewall, a base, and front wall; the front wall is lower than the other three walls, and when two bins are stacked in a 0&#xb0; stacking configuration, the lower front wall of the lower bin and a sloped surface on the lower portion of the upper bin create a recyclable receiving chute that accepts recyclable materials freely. When in the stacked configuration, the upper bin is substantially securely held to the lower bin by a combination of a channel on the lower rear portion of the base that fits over a handle that rests upon on upper portion of the rear wall. Furthermore, a lower lip on the lower portion of the rear wall aligns with the handle and substantially prevents front-wards and backwards motion of the upper bin.
