A system for testing-configuring one or more vehicles includes a task communication module obtaining a task data packet having a selected software-based task to be performed on a selected vehicle, where a task command identifier identifying the task, a command matching module selecting a predefined task command from among a set of stored task commands based on the task command identifier where the predefined task command executes either a selected standardized protocol (i.e., a set of locally stored instructions) or a selected customized protocol to perform the task (i.e., a set of bypass instructions to retrieve a selected script file having a set of customizable instructions), and a command execution module executing the selected standard protocol in response to the predefined task command being the selected standard protocol, and executing the selected customized protocol employing the selected script file based on the predefined task command being the selected customized protocol.

System and method for wirelessly performing software-based tasks on vehicles

Managing data transfer and privacy via a multi-channel transfer of information is provided. A query is received from a client device, the query indicating an access identifier corresponding to an entity for which data is stored. A consented data pool is accessed to identify a random value corresponding to the access identifier. A hash value is computed using a combination of both the access identifier and the random value. An anonymous data pool of stored data is queried to identify results from the stored data tagged with the hash value. The results are returned to the client device responsive to the query.

Privacy aware multi channel data transfer

A plurality of localization data sources accessible on a vehicle network in a vehicle can be identified. A plurality of active vehicle applications that request localization data provided by one or more of the localization data sources can be identified. Based on the active vehicle applications, a plurality of the localization data sources to be combined to output a vehicle location can be selected.

In a vehicle computer, a trigger may be received to provide localization data to a first vehicle application that is one of a plurality of vehicle applications in a vehicle that receive the localization data. The localization data can be provided in the first format to the first vehicle application upon receiving a location request from the application.

A system includes a vehicle control module, a vehicle gateway module, and a wired vehicle communications network communicatively coupling the vehicle gateway module to the vehicle control module. The vehicle control module is programmed to receive sensor data from at least one sensor, execute a machine-learning program trained to determine whether the sensor data satisfies at least one criterion, and transmit the sensor data satisfying the at least one criterion to the vehicle gateway module. The vehicle gateway module is programmed to transmit the machine-learning program to the vehicle control module; upon receiving the sensor data from the vehicle control module, store the sensor data; and upon establishing a connection with a remote server, transmit the sensor data to the remote server.

Another method includes transmitting a present orientation of an accessibility device, receiving a target orientation of the accessibility device, illuminating a light projector, determining that the accessibility device is in the target orientation, and turning off the light projector.

A vehicle occupant messaging system includes a communication tag located in a buckle of a vehicle seatbelt assembly and configured to wirelessly transmit signals, to a mobile device, representing a location of a passenger using the mobile device in a host vehicle. The system further includes a communication transceiver programmed to transmit messages to the mobile device and a system processor programmed to generate the messages to the mobile device, the messages identifying the location of the passenger.

Role-based HMI context dynamic update

A toll advertisement message is received, via a V2X transceiver of a vehicle, defining a metered zone in which tolls are charged. Input data indicative of a current position of the vehicle with respect to the metered zone is determined. A state machine is utilized to determine tolled roadway usage of the vehicle according to the metered zone and the current position. A toll usage message indicative of the tolled roadway usage is provided via the V2X transceiver.

A vehicle that includes one or more controllers coupled to at least one and/or one or more wireless transceivers and antennas. The controllers are configured to enable enhanced, automated provisioning of network hardware of the vehicle with the settings and parameters of required wireless network credentials, by requesting, retrieving, receiving, and utilizing such credentials received from a mobile device. The mobile device includes one or more sets of credentials that are compatible for use with the network hardware configuration or configurations of the controllers, and communications, and network hardware of vehicle. The controller(s) are further configured to store such credentials locally in the vehicle, to request updates, to detect and identify wireless networks identified by such credentials when the wireless networks are in-range of the vehicle network hardware, and to automatically provision and connect the network hardware of vehicle to the detected and identified wireless networks.
