An electric apparatus comprises a housing () and a trimmer () for cutting hair. The trimmer () is carried by a trimmer supporting element () which is movable between a stored position and an operational position. In the operational position the trimmer () is spaced from the housing (). The trimmer supporting element () is rotatably connected to the housing () through a supporting element hinge (), which is movable with respect to the housing () via a guide () in a direction perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the supporting element hinge (). The apparatus further comprises a displacement member () for defining the displacement of the trimmer supporting element () between the stored position and the operational position.
