A transmission system is disclosed, having a clutch module with an input and a first and a second output. Between the first output and the input, a first clutch device is present, and between the second output and the input a second clutch device is present. The transmission system further includes a transmission module having a first partial transmission and a second partial transmission, in which the two outputs of the clutch module are connected to the two inputs of the transmission module.

Transmission system

A drive mechanism comprises a transmission as well as an electromotor/generator. The transmission is connected via an input to the electromotor/generator and via an output to the wheels. The transmission has two planetary gear sets having three rotational members each, of which first rotational members are connected to the input, second rotational members are connected to the output and third rotational members are connected to a first and second brake respectively. By actuating either of the brakes a speed transforming gear is created between the input and the output. By actuating one brake during the releasing of the other brake, it is possible to switch between the two speed transforming gears without an interruption of the torque transfer from the electromotor/generator to the load or vice versa.

Transmission for an electric or hybrid drive mechanism

A transmission system for a vehicle, comprising an input shaft which can be connected to a drive source, and an output shaft which can be connected to a load comprises:&#x2014;a clutch module which has an input that is connected to the input shaft and a first and a second output, as well as first clutch means which are located between the input and the first output and second clutch means which are located between the input and the second output, and gear stage means which are located between the input and the first or second output, as well as&#x2014;a transmission module which has a first and a second input and an output that is connected to the output shaft, as well as a first sub-transmission which is located between the first input and the output, and a second sub-transmission which is located between the second input and the output,&#x2014;where the first output of the clutch module is connected to a first input of the transmission module and the second input of the clutch module is connected to the second input of the transmission module, and&#x2014;where the first and second sub-transmissions each comprise an input shaft and an output shaft which are connected to the inputs and output of the transmission module and each comprise at least one gear stage which gear stages are located between the input and output shafts.

Transmission system, as well as method for changing a transmission ratio

An exemplary transmission system (TS) includes a clutch module (CM) having an input (In) and a first and a second output (O, O). A first clutch device (B, B, C) provided with a first actuator is present between the first output and the input, and a second clutch device (C, B) with a second actuator is present between the second output and the input. The transmission system also includes a transmission module (TM), with an output (Out) and a first and a second input (i, i). A first partial transmission provided with at least one transmission (VAR) is present between the first input and the output, and a second partial transmission provided with at least one further transmission or a mechanical connection is present between the second input and the output. Two outputs (O, O) of the clutch module are connected to the two inputs (i, i) of the transmission module.

A clutch and/or brake module has a heat sink which is attached to a transmission housing for the purpose of discharging heat. The brake module further has a brake disc, which is connected to a rotational member formed by a shaft (schematically indicated by a center line). The brake disc is provided on one side with a lining and faces with this side towards the heat sink. The brake is a dry brake and is not lubricated. The brake module further has an actuation system (cylinder with piston movable therein, schematically indicated by an arrow) which can exert an axial pressing force directly on the brake disc. The brake disc is located axially between the heat sink and the actuation system. The cooling plate is secured to a transmission housing, a part of which is schematically shown.

Clutch and/or brake module

A flywheel module comprises a coupling unit which has an input shaft and an output shaft. This coupling unit has a first coupling of which a first coupling half can be connected to a combustion engine and a second coupling half can be connected to a continuously variable transmission. The flywheel module further comprises a flywheel unit which has an in/output and is formed by a flywheel and a reduction gear unit connected to the flywheel. This flywheel unit is exclusively connected to the in/output via the coupling unit.

Flywheel module

A drivelinecomprises a transmissionhaving an input shaftand an output shaftas well as an end driveconnected to the output shaft of the transmission, which end drive includes a differential. The transmission comprises a plurality of switchable gear trains as well as a shift drumwhich has three cam profilesand three shift forks S, S, SX provided with cam followers for moving a clutch element for coupling a gear to a shaft present in the transmission. The shift drumfurther includes a further cam profileand the transmission comprises a further cam follower Fas well as a locking element which is connected via a gear unitto the further cam follower and locks a driving elementin the driveline so that drive shafts connected to the differential are locked against rotation.

Driveline for a vehicle

A flywheel module comprises a bypass transmission with three rotational members, and a flywheel connected to a first one of the rotational members. A second one of the rotational members is connected to the input/output. An electric machine which can function both as a motor and as a generator is connected to a third one of the rotational members. An actuator is provided for actuating the electric machine. A control unit is provided for driving the actuator, as well as an operator for operating the brake and the clutch.

Flywheel module for a vehicle, as well as methods of operating the flywheel module

A transmission which is pre-eminently suitable for an electric and/or hybrid drive has an input which can be connected to an electromotor/generator, and an output which can be connected to a load. The transmission has two parallel transmission paths between the input and output, first coupling means being present in the first transmission path and second coupling means being present in the second transmission path. Furthermore, a gear reduction is present in at least either of the two transmission paths. The first coupling means are arranged such that they are not capable of dissipating significant power and the second coupling means are arranged such that they are capable indeed of dissipating significant power.

Transmission for an electric or hybrid drive

A flywheel module has a closed housing with an opening, and an output which is formed by an output shaft that extends outward through the opening. A sealing ring is present between the output shaft and the boundary wall of the opening. A flywheel is accommodated in the housing, which flywheel is connected via a clutch to a first gear of a transmission whose other gear is connected to a first portion of a centrifugal disengaging clutch of which the other portion is connected to the output shaft. With this it be avoided that the flywheel starts to run at too high a speed, which guarantees the safety of the flywheel module.

A transmission system has a clutch module which has a single input and two outputs, where clutch devices are located between the outputs and the input. The transmission system further includes a transmission module which has two inputs and a single output, the transmission module comprising at least two sub-transmissions where at least a single speed transforming gear or a single transmission clutch is located between an input and an output of each sub-transmission. The two outputs of the clutch module are connected here to both inputs of the transmission module.

Transmission module for a lorry

A device has an output which is formed by a gearwheel that can be coupled to a gearwheel on a crankshaft of a combustion engine. The device comprises a first auxiliary drive source arranged as an electromotor, which is coupled to the output via a node. A first branch of a drive line is present between the electromotor and the node and a second branch of the drive line is present between the node and the output. The device further includes a second auxiliary drive source arranged as a flywheel which is coupled to the output via the node. A third branch is then present between the flywheel and the node.

Device for starting a combustion engine

A drive mechanism has a transmission module which has a first input which is connected to an electromotor/generator, and a second input which is connected to a combustion engine. The transmission module has a planetary gear set having three rotational members of which a first rotational member is connected to the input, a second rotational member is connected to an output, and a third rotational member is connected to a brake. A clutch is positioned between the combustion engine and the third rotational member and a further clutch is positioned between the combustion engine and the first rotational member.

Transmission module for a hybrid drive

A transmission system has a clutch module with a single input and two outputs. First and second clutch devices are positioned between the input and the two outputs. A transmission module, having two inputs and a single output, includes two sub-transmissions where at least a single speed transforming gear or a single transmission clutch is located between an input and an output of each sub-transmission. The two outputs of the clutch module are connected here to the two inputs of the transmission module. Between the input and the first output of the clutch module is located a first planetary gear set, and between the input and the second output is located a second planetary gear set.
