The invention relates to a corner key reinforcement brace for strengthening the joint between the beveled ends of abutting tubular metal members such as found in the frame of metallic storm or screen doors. The corner key is internally slip-fitted within each of the adjacent, abutting frame members in a manner so that a relatively close tolerance is maintained between the inner walls of both tubular members and the corner key. The corner key is formed of two substantially identical half sections having first and second leg portions disposed at substantially right angles to one another. All of the leg portions are substantially U-shaped in transverse cross section with one pair of corresponding legs having the top edges of the sidewalls thereof bent inwardly. Accordingly, the half sections are inverted with respect to one another and are engaged or mated together with the leg portion of each half section having inwardly flared sidewalls being received between the substantially straight sidewalls of a non-corresponding leg portion of the adjacent, inverted half section.

Corner key reinforcement brace

A grid system for supporting a plurality of individual panel members generally in the same plane. A grid is formed of a plurality of structural beams or grid members which are disposed in intersecting relationship to each other in a predetermined geometric relation. More specifically, the grid system is adapted to be suspended from the superstructure of a building and includes a plurality of spaced, parallel grid members. Each pair of such grid members are adapted on their opposite sides to support the marginal edge portions of ceiling panels while the adjacent sides of each pair of grid members are appropriately spaced and formed to receive an outlet portion of an air handling conduit for conveying conditioned air from a plenum-like structure disposed between the grid system and the overhead building superstructure into the room below the grid structure. In this regard, one embodiment includes pairs of grid members disposed only in a longitudinal orientation over the room while a second embodiment includes spaced, parallel pairs of grid members disposed both longitudinally and transversely with respect to a room therebelow. In the former embodiment, single grid members are disposed transversely to the pairs of spaced, parallel grid members so as to provide support for the correspondingly transverse edges of supported ceiling panels. In the latter embodiment, an intersection clip means having separately attached intersecting clip connector means is provided for connecting intersecting longitudinal and transverse pairs of grid members.

Suspended ceiling structure

Spaced panel bearing studs are vertically arranged to receive and support panel members defining a wall surface. The studs are maintained in a spaced apart relation by detachable spacer bars extending therebetween and releasably engaged therewith. The panel members can be adhesively secured to the studs or mechanically secured in place by separate batten strips or by skirt portions formed integral with the panel members. The batten strips and skirts are each provided with tongues having enlarged formations interlockingly engagable with clips detachably mounted on the studs. Axially adjustable extender clips are insertable in the upper ends of the studs for connecting the studs to ceiling channel members.
