The invention is a polymer composition for film layer comprising less than 50 wt % of a copolymer of ethylene with silane group(s) containing units and at least 50 wt % of a thermoplastic polyolefine free from silane group(s) wherein the polymer composition has creep of less than 1 mm at 90&#xb0; C., and an adhesion above 20 N/cm. The invention relates to a laminated article with at least one film layer of the polymer composition and a substrate.

A polymer composition with a polymer of ethylene with a comonomer with silane group(s) containing units and an additive that is an organic compound with at least one amine moiety that has a gel content less than 10 wt % after 7 days at ambient conditions and a gel content of at least 15 wt % gel content after 14 days at 100&#xb0; C. The film can be used in a laminate.

A process for for making a cross-linked polyethylene article includes: (A) feeding a blend comprising a cross-linkable silane-group containing polyethylene copolymer and at least one additive to an extruder, (B) feeding a liquid comprising a silanol condensation catalyst to said extruder to form a mixture with said blend, (C) extruding said mixture to form an article and (D) cross-linking said article. The article may be a pipe or cable.
