Meta-data relating to the object are associated with the radiation image of the object if Tequals Tor if Tapproximates Twithin a predefined limit.

A method of generating a hard copy of an image, i.e. a medical image on a substantially rectangular heat sensitive recording material having rounded corners wherein image pixels of the image are printed in a printable area within the area of said recording material, the printable area being defined by a polygon with a degree higher than 4 which approximates the area of the recording material.

Thermal printing method

Image processing method wherein an image is re-sampled and sharpened by subjecting the image to a convolution with a kernel, the elements of which are determined by selecting a first set of kernel values so that a convolution of the image by means of a kernel with said first set of kernel values generates a sharpened image, and subsequently interpolating between the elements of this first kernel.

Image sharpening and re-sampling method

A color matching method is described for matching the appearance of an image on a second color imaging system to an image on a first color imaging system. The method is based on the calibration of both imaging systems, preferentially by analytical functions having specific continuity requirements, approximating measured points rather than interpolating them. Due to different gamuts of the two imaging systems, a gamut mapping must be performed. The mappings are preferentially linear for lightness and saturation, and preferentially keep the hue constant. For greyish colors, the gamut mapping is preferentially non-linear, to obtain maximum visual perception of differences in the image.
