A method is disclosed for switching connections of Bluetooth headsets. The method includes indicating, on a user interface of the first Bluetooth device, (i) the first Bluetooth device has a first Bluetooth connection with a Bluetooth headset, and (ii) a second Bluetooth device has no Bluetooth connection with the Bluetooth headset. Also, the method includes receiving user input to establish a second Bluetooth connection between the second Bluetooth device and the Bluetooth headset. Further, the method includes sending a message to the Bluetooth headset. The message includes a unique device identifier of the second Bluetooth device. The message represents a command for the Bluetooth headset to establish the second Bluetooth connection with the second Bluetooth device. Responsive to the message, the Bluetooth headset (i) releases the first Bluetooth connection with the first Bluetooth device and (ii) establishes the second Bluetooth connection with the second Bluetooth device.

Connection switching for Bluetooth headsets

Connection switching for Bluetooth headsets is disclosed. A Bluetooth headset includes a Bluetooth transceiver configured to receive a message from a first Bluetooth device over a first Bluetooth connection with the first Bluetooth device. The message includes a command to establish a second Bluetooth connection with a second Bluetooth device. The Bluetooth headset also includes a processor configured to cause the Bluetooth transceiver to (i) release the first Bluetooth connection and then (ii) establish the second Bluetooth connection with the second Bluetooth device responsive to the Bluetooth transceiver receiving the message. Computer-readable media for the Bluetooth devices is also disclosed.

Connection switching for bluetooth headsets

An apparatus comprising an earpiece and a signal processor is disclosed. The earpiece is suitable to be applied at an auditory opening of a user's ear. The earpiece comprises a speaker enabled to be supplied with an audio signal for rendering, and a microphone arranged in vicinity of the speaker to acquire a sound signal from sounds present inside the auditory opening when the earpiece is applied at the ear. The signal processor is arranged to determine whether the earpiece is applied at the user's ear by analysis of the acquired sound signal comprising any of a sound signal component of an in-ear sound type present when the earpiece is applied or an outside-ear sound type present when the earpiece is not applied. A method and a computer program are also disclosed.

Acoustic in-ear detection for earpiece

A wireless communication apparatus and method are provided for operation in a communication network. The wireless communication apparatus comprises a receiver unit operative to receive control data and audio data from an audio gateway; a control unit operative to use the control data to provide a connection between the wireless communication apparatus and the audio gateway for communication of the audio data; and a transmitter unit. The receiver unit is operative to receive from another wireless communication apparatus a request for the control data. The control unit is operative to forward via the transmitter unit the control data to the other wireless communication apparatus in response to the request. The other communication apparatus and a method for requesting the control data are also provided.

Audio broadcast in a network

An apparatus comprising at least one earpiece suitable to be applied at an auditory opening of a user's ear and a signal processor is disclosed. The earpiece comprises a speaker enabled to be supplied with an audio signal for rendering, and a microphone arranged in vicinity of the speaker arranged to acquire a sound signal. The signal processor is arranged to determine whether the earpiece is applied at the user's ear by analysis of the acquired sound signal, wherein the analysis is based on the acoustic coupling of the audio signal to the microphone. A method and a computer program are also disclosed.
