A method of displaying content to a user within a managed space comprised of one or more touch-free interactive kiosks includes collecting user data about the user. In addition, the plurality of touch-free interactive kiosks are configured to uniquely identify users located at the kiosk. Based on the identified user, and collected user data associated with the user, content is selected to be displayed to the user.

System and method to provide interactive, user-customized content to touch-free terminals

A capacitive touch panel is tested for the presence or absence of short and open circuits in drive and sense lines without the use of a tool that touches the surface of the panel. During a first stage of testing, drive lines of the touch panel are sequentially driven while the remaining drive lines are floated. Sense lines are read to indicate whether a driven drive line is shorted to an adjacent drive line, an open circuit, or coupled to a sense line that is an open circuit. During a second stage of testing, drive lines are driven while alternate sense lines are floated or enabled. The signals on the enabled sense lines are acquired to indicate whether the enabled sense lines are shorted to adjacent sense lines. This second stage can be repeated, switching the roles of the sense lines, to determine the locations of short and/or open circuits.

Touch panel testing using mutual capacitor measurements

Apparatuses and methods of synchronizing a display driver integrated circuit (DDI) and a touch screen controller (TSC) integrated circuit that are coupled to a display integrated touch panel, such as an in-cell panel, and allowing multi-phase transmit (TX) scanning of the in-cell touch panel. One apparatus includes a DDI configured to receive signals on a video interface from a host processor over a video interface and to drive electrodes of a touch panel. The DDI is configured to receive control signals from a TSC over a control interface to drive different transmit (TX) phase sequences of a TX signal in different sensing interval on the electrodes of the touch panel.

Interface and synchronization method between touch controller and display driver for operation with touch integrated displays

A haptic feedback system includes a user interface device, such as a touchscreen that includes a touch panel and one or more haptic drive elements coupled to the touch panel, a touch controller, and an actuator controller. The touch controller receives sensed data from the touch panel, and in response generates and sends a haptic signal to an actuator controller. Generation and transmission of the haptic signal bypasses any system host controller. A dedicated signal path couples the touch controller and the actuator controller, over which the haptic signal is transmitted. Alternatively, the haptic signal is transmitted from the touch controller to the actuator controller over a serial bus interface. In response to the received haptic signal, the actuator controller implements an appropriate drive signal in the form of a haptic waveform to the one or more haptic drive elements of the touchscreen.
