An enclosure for accommodating splicing between cables is disclosed. The enclosure can include a housing containing a frame (e.g., a tray) to which the cables can be affixed. The housing can have an elongate in-line configuration, a triangular configuration, or other configurations. Cable reversing configurations and moveable adapter configurations are also disclosed.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a telecommunication enclosure having a configuration that can be readily customized in the factory to satisfy customer specifications and can also be readily upgraded in the field. In certain examples, the telecommunication enclosure includes a main housing defining a plurality access ports. A plurality of different add-on components can selectively be coupled to the main housing at the access ports in sealed relation to the main housing. The add-on components can include visual indicators which are visible from outside the main housing when the add-on components are mounted to the main housing.

Fiber optic enclosure with ability to customize and/or upgrade

A telecommunications assembly includes a tray, and telecommunications components. The telecommunications components include fiber routing modules selectively mountable in a plurality of positions to define different fiber pathways. Splice holder modules are used with the fiber routing modules. Attachment features between the tray and modules include a dovetail feature, and crush bumps, biased ends, and defined lengths to protect fibers being managed on the tray.

Terminal enclosure

A sealed stranded wire assembly includes one or more stranded wires. The one or more stranded wires includes a solid portion formed on or attached to the length of the one or more stranded wires. The solid portion prevents liquid, dust, or other contaminants from traveling along the length of the one or more stranded wires through voids within the one or more stranded wires.

The present disclosure relates to sealing arrangements for sealing locations where cables enter/exit enclosures. The sealing arrangements can include first and second cable sealing modules each including a cable sealing surface. The sealing arrangements can be adapted to enhance cable diameter range-taking, sealant conformability, and/or sealant recovery from deformation.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a telecommunications enclosure. The telecommunications enclosure includes a housing with an interior. The housing includes a port sleeve which defines a cable port for routing a cable into the interior of the housing. An enclosure includes a housing having an elongate length between first and second ends, the housing defining a cable pass-through location at a first end, the housing including a first housing piece and a second housing piece that pivotally couple together at the first end of the housing. Each housing piece carries a respective cable sealant module that compress together as the housing is closed. A sealing projection on one of the housing pieces inhibits gel of the sealant modules from extruding into a perimeter seal of the housing.

The present disclosure relates to grounding assemblies for cables entering telecommunications enclosures. The grounding assemblies include a grounding attachment interface, a strength member fixation mount, and first and second cable fixation mounts that are electrically coupled together to ground strength members and a conductive shield of a cable.
