A sealing assembly comprising a plurality of components including an upper sealing element and a lower sealing element, the sealing assembly configured to encircle a tubular string positioned within a casing of a wellbore. The sealing assembly is configured to be actuatable to extend sealing elements between the tubular string and an inner surface of the casing to form a fluid seal between the tubular element and the inner surface of the casing.

Sealing assembly for wellbore operations

A method for sealing a borehole, that includes lowering a plug into the borehole, where the plug includes a sealing element, a reservoir that includes a liquid, and a one-way valve connected to the reservoir, causing the sealing element to undergo sealing element expansion, where the sealing element expansion causes the sealing element to make circumferential contact with a casing of the borehole, and where the sealing element expansion causes the sealing element to create a void.

Constantly adaptive void elimination system

A lower packer, seal stinger, upper packer, running tool, and setting tool is positioned into the wellbore. A force is applied by the setting tool, which causes the seal stinger to be pushed into a seal receptacle of the lower packer. The seal stinger is pushed by pushing the running tool which causes the upper packer to be pushed which causes the seal stinger to be pushed. A force is also applied by an internal rod of the setting tool to pull the running tool which causes the running tool to hold the lower packer in place as the seal stinger is pushed into the seal receptacle. The running tool and setting tool is then removed from the wellbore, wherein the lower packer, seal stinger, and upper packer comprise the straddle assembly.
