Disclosed is an apparatus for generating two constant width and symmetrical drive signals from two separate, but complementary, pulse width modulated control signals while also generating two pulse width modulated drive signals corresponding to said pulse width modulated control signals. The constant width drive signals are generated through the use of a toggle or latch set/reset circuit actuated by a given characteristic of each of the control signals.

PWM control signal generation method and apparatus

Disclosed is an apparatus that equally distributes current from a rectifier circuit to a plurality of power factor correction circuit units by equal current magnitudes and lower component count advantages of peak current sensing with the lower harmonic distortion advantages of average current sensing. The output of a single average current sensing correction circuit in a master controller is logically compared with the output of a peak current sensing circuit in each of a plurality of interleaved master and slave controller units to produce a difference signal used to operate the switch in the switch leg of each controller unit to reduce emi, harmonic distortion and increase power factor toward an in phase condition.

Interleaved converter power factor correction method and apparatus

Disclosed is a DC/DC converter apparatus comprising a full bridge non-resonant pulse-width-modulated (PWM) switching circuit, which includes inductive device(s), clamp diodes, and an output transformer rectifier and filter circuit. Capacitive and diode elements associated with bridge switching devices operate to switch current through the switches at substantially zero voltage (ZVS). The inductor element and clamp diodes are used to reduce the primary transition shoot through current resulting from reverse recovery of the transformer secondary rectification stage while also reducing emi and semiconductor stresses.

DC/DC ZVS full bridge converter power supply method and apparatus

A compensation circuit for a DC&mdash;DC converter having a low voltage output line and a plurality of high voltage output lines applied to a plurality of loads includes an adjustable impedance source connected to the low voltage output line. The impedance source generates a feedback control signal to the DC&mdash;DC converter used to control the transformer duty cycle. A sensing circuit is connected to the plurality of high voltage output lines for generating a control signal which represents variations in the output voltages of the high voltage output lines. The control signal is applied to the impedance source to thereby regulate the feedback control signal which in turn provides regulation for the high voltage output lines.

Multiple output converter having a low power dissipation cross regulation compensation circuit

In a flyback converter receiving a high voltage DC input for generating a low voltage output, a power control circuit includes a peak current mode controller having as an input, the flyback converter output. The controller generates a feedback signal to the flyback converter for controlling the switching frequency of switches present in the flyback converter. The peak current controller includes a clock circuit. Circuitry monitors the high voltage DC input. The monitoring circuit generates a control signal which is applied to the controller clock circuit for controlling the switching frequency of the flyback converter to thereby control output power levels.
