Methods and systems for cohort selection for agile processes are disclosed. A method includes: assigning, by a computing device, each of a plurality of entities to one of a plurality of groups; and for each of the plurality of groups: for each of the entities in the group, determining, by the computing device, information about the entity and encoding the determined information about the entity using a genetic algorithm; determining a ranking, by the computing device, of each of the entities in the group based on the encoded information about each of entity in the group; crossing over, by the computing device, portions of the encoded information of pairs of entities occupying adjacent positions in the ranking; and measuring, by the computing device, fitness of each of the entities in the group.

The invention provides a system and method for virtual world biometric analytics through the use of a multimodal biometric analytic wallet. The system includes a virtual biometric wallet comprising a pervasive repository for storing biometric data, the pervasive repository including at least one of a biometric layer, a genomic layer, a health layer, a privacy layer, and a processing layer. The virtual biometric wallet further comprises an analytic environment configured to combine the biometric data from at least one of the biometric layer, the genomic layer, the health layer, the privacy layer, and the processing layer. Identifying words to accurately describe, with a range of specificity, an image is provided. A vector space corresponding to the image is generated using a convolutional neural network to extract a hierarchy of features ranging from broad to specific from the image. Closest vocabulary ranging from broad to specific are identified for the image using Huffman coding on the vector space. Accurate words ranging from broad to specific are identified that describe the image based on vocabulary output of the Huffman coding on the vector space. The accurate words ranging from broad to specific describing the image are output.

Semantic understanding of images based on vectorization

A microservices-management system intercepts a request for a cloud-based microservice sent by a microservices-architecture application. The system selects an optimal cloud-service provider from a group of candidate providers capable of delivering the microservice and then forwards the request to the optimal provider. The optimal provider is selected by drawing cognitive inferences from stored blockchain records that each describe a characteristic of a previous delivery of the requested service. Each record is generated by one of the candidate providers when delivering an instance of the microservice, regardless of whether the provider is in a trusted relationship with the application owner. The providers are barred by blockchain's intrinsic security features from altering or deleting previously stored blockchain records. Upon delivery of the service, the system compares the actual quality or cost of the delivery with predicted values in order to learn how to more effectively select optimal providers.

QoS-optimized selection of a cloud microservices provider

A product may be stored in a protective container that is surrounded with a fluid. A heat-sensitivity rating for the product may be obtained, and a product energy for the product may be calculated. The calculating may include adjusting the longest dimension of the product based on the heat-sensitivity rating and defining a sphere of enthalpy around the product. The sphere's radius may be equal to the adjusted product dimension and the sphere may be centered at the product center. The calculating may also comprise multiplying the volume of the sphere by the air pressure inside the protective container. An environmental condition within the sphere during a first time period may be forecasted. It may be determined that the product is likely to deteriorate during the first time period based on the product energy and heat-sensitivity rating. The altitude of the protective container may be altered to mitigate this deterioration.

In capturing software element state changes during software application runtime, a computing device executes a software application that a set of software sensors integrated within executable code of the software application. The software sensors correspond to software elements in the software application. During runtime, a given software sensor corresponding to a given software element continuously determines whether the given software element changes state. In response to a change in state, the given software sensor captures and stores the current state of the given software element. An application control module associated with the software application obtains state data stored by the software sensors. The application control module determines commands for modifying a behavior of the software application based on an analysis of the state data and executes the commands.

The system includes: a team building system for building a fundamental analytic team from a database of analysts to solve an inputted problem, wherein the fundamental analytic team includes at least one cluster of analysts characterized with specificity and at least one cluster of analysts characterized with sensitivity; and a problem analysis system that collects sensor data from the fundamental analytic team operating within an immersive environment, wherein the problem analysis system includes a system for evaluating the sensor data to identify a bias condition from the fundamental analytic team, and includes a system for altering variables in the immersive environment in response to a detected bias condition.

System and method for optimizing teams

In response to a teleport request, teleport destination characteristics are determined and compared against preferences, characteristics and restrictions of an avatar as indicated by metadata or tags to determine if the teleport destination is suitable for teleportation of that avatar. If the destination is found unsuitable, a search is conducted, preferably based on unmatched metadata of the avatar or the destination to suggest or directly substitute a suitable teleportation destination. Metadata for the avatar and the destination can include metadata which is dynamic (such as destination occupancy or processing capacity) adaptively developed or based on current or historical usage and virtual universe system status.

Method and system for filtering movements between virtual environments

Various embodiments provide systems, computer program products and computer implemented methods. Some embodiments include a method of updating an expert corpus set, including obtaining a query from a user, obtaining a raw data source, determining a relevance score for the raw data source with respect to the query, by performing actions including creating a first vector of statistical variables for the query using at least one natural language processing (NLP) socket, the statistical variables having category types, creating a second vector for the first raw data source, having category types that are the same as those for the query and generating a hypothesis regarding the relevance of the raw data source, testing the hypothesis by comparing relative statistical variables, calculating a gradient between the vectors to determine the relevance score and updating the expert corpus set with the raw data in response to the relevance score exceeds a threshold.
