A sift-resistant dispensing closure is disclosed. The sift-resistant dispensing closure includes a base, a lid, and a hinge connecting the lid to the base. The base contains a circular end wall, a cylindrical skirt extending downward from the periphery of the end wall, and a sift deck elevated from the upside of the circular end wall. The sift deck contains a deck surface surrounded by a first snap bead and a first sealing surface, and pouring holes formed on the deck surface. The lid contains a second snap bead and a second sealing surface that are formed on the underside of the lid and engage with the first snap bead and first sealing surface, respectively, to form a seal around the sift deck when the lid is in a closed position.

Sift-resistant dispensing closure

A one-piece dispensing closure is disclosed. The one-piece dispensing closure includes a base, a lid having a first flap and means to irreversibly attach to the base, a first living hinge connecting the base to the lid, and a second living hinge connecting the first flap to the lid. The simplistic design of the dispensing closure allows for easy production of dispensing closures of different shapes and sizes.

One-piece dispensing closure

A dispensing closure comprising a body portion and a flap portion is provided. The body portion comprises an end wall, a skirt that depends from end wall, and an opening about the same size as end wall. Flap portion comprises a lid comprising at least one dispensing opening and a disk comprising one or more dispensing orifices. The disk is in rotatable contact with the lid. A lock portion comprising a surface area formed on the flap portion. Lock portion also comprises a first substantially vertical piece formed on a first side of surface area, a second substantially vertical piece formed on a second side of surface area, and a substantially horizontal piece formed at a bottom of the first substantially vertical piece and the second substantially vertical piece. Surface area, first substantially vertical piece, second substantially vertical piece, and the substantially horizontal piece form a latched opening.

A closure comprising a main portion and a flip-top portion are provided. The main portion comprises a tab and at least one rib. The flip-top portion is operatively connected to the main portion and is movable with respect to the main portion. The tab can be configured to break at least partially away from the at least one rib as a result of downward force applied to the tab. The at least one rib can be configured to spiral partially away from the tab and the main portion when the tab is pulled in an upward direction away from the main portion. The tab and the at least one rib comprise a tamper evident seal.

One-piece container with lid

A dispensing closure is provided that includes a body portion and a flap portion. The body portion can include an end wall, a skirt that depends from end wall, and an opening about the same size as the end wall. The flap portion can include a lid having at least one dispensing opening and a disk that has one or more dispensing orifices. The disk is in rotatable contact with the lid. A lock portion can include a surface area formed on the flap portion. The lock portion can also include a first substantially vertical piece formed on a first side of surface area, a second substantially vertical piece formed on a second side of surface area, and a substantially horizontal piece formed at a bottom of the first substantially vertical piece and the second substantially vertical piece.

A sift-resistant dispensing closure is disclosed. The sift-resistant dispensing closure includes a base, a lid and a hinge connecting the lid to the base. The base contains a circular end wall, a cylindrical skirt extending downward from the periphery of the end wall, and a sift deck elevated from the upside of the circular end wall. The sift deck contains a deck surface surrounded by a first snap bead and a first sealing surface, and pouring holes formed on the deck surface. The lid contains a second snap bead and a second sealing surface that are formed on the underside of the lid and engage with the first snap bead and first sealing surface, respectively, to form a seal around the sift deck when the lid is in a closed position.

A dispensing closure that comprises a pliable sealing surface that is selectively formed with a dispensing opening or a cleanout. At least a portion of the pliable sealing surface can be formed at a base of a skirt, wherein the skirt engages the dispensing closure with the container. Material of the pliable sealing surface can be bonded with material of a body portion and a flap portion of the dispensing closure during a multi-shot injection molding process. The pliable sealing surface can be formed from a thermoplastic elastomer and the body portion and flap portion can be formed from a polymer material.
